Okay, I'll try the run file. It does go directly to that page. I started using the "Load setting before I figured out to put the extra ;rrcam, in there, so mayve that's why "Run" wasn't working. Also figured out why my clock setting keeps going off. It's GPS related. I'll post on a GPS thread later. For now, I need food...
That extra ;RRCam is for text to speech, it jsut says whatever is there when it loads the skin... You can actually get rid of it and have this:
Once again, there was a typo in my posts... Here is a direct copy that I am using. Keep in mind it wont start minimized but it will load the program..
"ONSKINSTART","Load;RRcam.skin;;C:\Program Files\Road Runner\skins\Simplistique\RRCam\RRCam.exe;RRCam.exe"
That should work for you...
Is this version still restricted to a low frame rate?
If so,Is there anything i can do to help you overcome that?
THeres nothing that can be done about the frame rate =[ Its just a limitation of VideoOCX which i used for all video proccessing..
Rest assured though, Im working on another version that will be written entirely by me, that will support recording at 30FPS as well as multiple cameras =]
So max framerate is currently what? I can't seem to get it to record any faster than about 8-10 FPS without it screwing up the speed. So what's the max? My camera is supposedly capible of 30 fps.
Also, is there a way to change the resolution? It pretty low (I wan't to say 320x240, maybe?.) Is this a setting I need to somehow change on my camera? I know the camera is capible of 640x480 resolution.
Max framerate is about 8-10fps, depending on your computer hardware, system load, etc. All i can suggest is testing and finding what works best.. As for the camera resolution, it sounds like you should be able to change it, but It varies for everything. Best bet is to consult the docs that came with it =]
Okay, sounds good. I just wanted to make sure that the resolution wasn't being throttled down by the software, before I worried too much about trying to change any camera settings. Like I said, I know it will record at that resolution, so now I guess I just need to figure out how. I probably won't mess with it for a little while though. I've got a huge list of things still to be done to complete the hardware install. Let alone start worrying about camera resolutions. :)
Bump for attention!
Ive sorted a few bugs out, added some new features, and am hoping more people will use this..
come on guys =D Just looking for a bit more feedback before I release 2.0 final
Here's another bump. I really hope more people use it too.
I did have one issue this morning with RRcam. As you know, I set it to auto-launch on startup of RR. I had my camera disconnected this morning because I needed to plug something else in, and I needed a USB port (gotta get a hub). Anyway, when it launched, I got the normal error codes about the driver not being able to launch etc.
Everything worked fine, until I tried to reboot the computer (because the keyboard had not been plugged in at bootup, and was unusable). Everytime I tried to shut down, I got an error message from RRcam saying "unable to quit", or something to that effect.
I couldn't do a CTRL+ALT+DEL, due to having an inoperative keyboard, so I couldn't try to end the service manually.
I finally relaunched RR, and did a shutdown from within the RR frontend, and it rebooted. Don't know if this is a software bug, or a random problem with my computer, but this is the only time I've ever had an OS be unable to reboot because of a program.
interesting.. How were you trying to reboot? Via a mouse and clicking shutdown, or by pressing the power button on the front of the case? Also, did you exit RoadRunner first, and then try to powerdown with RRCam still running?
