1. extract the zip file you downloaded to either the Road Runner folder or Road Runner\plugins.
2. you should have a folder called RRGas, inside this there will be a register.bat file. Double click it.
3. Download the BMV2 skin files from post #3 of this thread. Extract to the BMV2 skin folder.
4. There should be a file called 'add to Exectbl.ini', open in notepad and copy the contents to the file Exectbl.ini in the BMV2 folder, if that file does not exist rename 'add to Exectbl.ini' to 'Exectbl.ini'
5. edit menu.skin and add x,rrgas after the graphics file line.
6.you will now have to create/change a button in the menu.skin to be "RRGAS"
and that should be it.

I've been having trouble with the rrgas_gps command. When I press the button that i've configured to do it, nothing happens. I can tell that the program is "trying" to do something as the scrolling time/date stamp pauses for a second or two, then continues scrolling. I've made sure my GPS signal is good. I use GPSGate w/ my Garmin USB 18, which works fine with iG. Any thoughts?

Do you have an internet connection at the time?
and are you passing the GPS signal to roadrunner?

I think so - I'll have to try it again. So I'm guessing the rrgas_gps command gets the zip and tries to download the prices right away? Would the zip change w/out an internet connection?

It uses the internet to get the Zipcode from the GPS coords.
I use this method rather than the ziplocator.dll as too many people were having trouble with it.
And seeing as the plugin is internet based to get it's info it seems reasonable to assume people have an internet connection when updating.
Although I can see the possibility that someone doesn't have internet in their car might want to store up some locations to get the info when at home/office, save the results using the save feature and then load up when in that area.
Maybe I need to add some code that will store the GPS coords if internet is not accessable, which can then be loaded up , zipcodes obtained and then prices obtained from that zipcode.

Yeah I think I'm having an issue w/ my Blackberry and tethering... I'll see if I can get it working and try it again.

I am using the BMV skin you posted here as well as the icons folder you posted and the latest RR.exe (10/13/08) and I can not get any iconsto work. Do you have a suggestion?

Make sure there is not an outdated plugin running that fouls up the icons.
And the icon folder (Gas) should be in the root of the Road Runner one.

Basically it needs to be the same name as the station name and be a gif file.

nb. If anyone else has the odd station logo missing, let me know and I'll try to find a logo and add it to the zip for others (or if you can find the logo just post it here).
