i've tried the following programs
- EasyOBDII 2.2.0
- OBD DIAG (standard i think)
- ProScan 5.0 (i think a trial or something i'm not sure)
as far as ELM compatible, i would suppose. i'm not really sure. it didn't come with any technical information or anything... how do i find out?

Yep it looks like it is compatible. I'm at a loss as to why it isn't working. I havent actually tried this plugin in the car yet though (got exams comming up) so I'm not sure if it will work with my adapter (I got one of those cheap ebay ones that claim to have an ELM chip, works with OBD Diag). This unit is compatible with the ELM327 chipset

well what happens is i can get to the page in Carwings for the OBDMPG menu. but i don't get any info, it's all zeroed out and the word "Connected" in the middle isn't lit up, so i'm assuming it's not connecting to the OBD scan tool?

not at the time i'm running the OBDMPG plugin or even RR.
but i've noticed sometimes after i open another program and then exit, it doesn't always close the port or something cause i have to log out and back in...
