i just did the code too...

lets hook up, u send me your files... ill make sure your right on

one thing I DONT LIKE, its what u do on RESUME
    the unload/load
what id like to see done, is at "ONSUSPEND" stop all timers, then closeELM
then "ONRESUME" id like to see openelm and restart timers
    no need to unload/load
at least i dont see any

also... i want you to see how i changed the code slightly for the .ini file
    where it comes from

i would like to send u these files... and u can see
    and/or u send me urs

This release takes advantage of a nice easy to use installer courtesy of Mitch. Should make things a lot easier for those new to RideRunner. Change log is below.

    Changes:
    Code:
    06-12-2009 - Ver. 1.4.1

+ Baudrate now switchable between 19200 and 38400 via ini file
+ Updated RRExtension and RRSDK Classes for better compatability with 06/01/09 RR Release
+ Revised Suspend/Resume Routines for better functionality
+ Updated Carwings sample skin for dynamic version
+ Rolled plugin into new Inno Installer Package

    06-07-2009 - Ver. 1.4

+ Fixed divide by zero error
+ Tested to work with latest RideRunner Release 06/01/2009

    - Disabled PID polling due to compatability issues, specify MAF in ini file

    12-18-2008 - Ver. 1.3

    Changes:
+ Added linear Interpolation for MAP, RPM, VSS, IAT, and MAF
+ Adjusted distance and fuel calculation constants
+ Increased internal clock to 1ms for higher accuracy
+ Added back km/l display option
+ Added polling of vehicle for available pids
+ Added X minute average option as obd_davgfe label

    - Removed MAF variable in ini in favor of asking vehicle which pids it supports

You've brought up a great point with that question.

Can everyone who is using this plug-in reply with the hardware they are using it with and at what baud rate? I'd like to compile a compatibility list to include with the documentation.

    Thanks!

If you start a compatibility list thread, I'll contribute again.

I have this OBDII scanner, which is an ELM323:

To be honest, I'm not completely sure of the differences in OBDII interfaces. I'm guessing the ELM323 just limits me as far as what I can read with it. Anyway, my question is, since it's mentioned in the first post that this uses the ELM327 VB6 class, does that mean this won't work with my ELM323 scanner? Thanks.

Plugin will work fine with an ELM323 scanner. In fact, the class was actually designed for a 323, I just updated a few things to ensure compatibility with the ELM327.

    Excellent. Thanks!

EDIT - So my initial test of this did not fully work. A random few of the numbers on the right side were working (I can't remember exactly which ones were working right now - RPM was one that was working - MAF was not), but nothing in the main box on the left shows up. Would any of the following be factors in this not working:

Baud rate - the only baud rate that I've tried that seems to give me any results is 9600. I saw in the change log it's switchable between 19200 and 38400. Are these the only two usable baud rates? I tried switching to 38400 and nothing at all worked. I haven't tried 19200 yet. I will try that when I leave work, hopefully that could be the solution.

MAF - I'm pretty sure I have a MAF, so I set this to TRUE in the .ini file. Again a few things worked, but not everything (I also tried setting it to FALSE with VE=80 with no results). My question here is if I set MAF to TRUE, is the VE value ignored, or do I have to delete the value or the entire line?

I also saw you were asking for people to let everyone know what hardware/baud rate was working. Could it simply be that my hardware is not compatible?

Sorry for the late response... I didn't see your edits until now.

If you get any responses it means the connection is working. So if you got RPM fine but no MAF it's likely that either your car doesn't have a MAF or it's not readable via obd for whatever reason.

You can use any baud rate you would like in the ini. Just stick to the standard ones to ensure compatibility.

And if you don't have a MAF or it's not readable for some reason you need to be able to read RPM, MAP, IAT, and VSS to get a MPG calculation. Note that if you are at a stop you're VSS will be zero and as a result so will your MPG.

If you do have a MAF all you need is MAF and VSS to calculate MPG.
