    Thanks for alerting me to the fact that the flash files were not in the installer. I've attached them to this post for the time being until I can get the next release published.

    mezz, for next version, can you enable the input of specific PIDs in the .ini file?

    I quess sth like:

    [PIDS]
    PID 87="obd_mysensor"

    It likely won't make it into the next release as I'm already working my way through the testing stages, but I'll look into it for future releases.

    Is there a specific PID that you would like added?

    Maybe you should try adding as many as possible if it's just a copy-paste thing...

    It's easy to add others, but the more PIDs I poll for at once the slower the updates are for the data. Thats the main reason why the PIDs that aren't required for MPG can be turned off.

    Oh, I see....

    Idea1:
    Maybe seperating the PIDs into several subcategories and enabling the category we want?

    Extra1=true
    Extra2=false
    Extra3=true

    Idea2: Setting each one PID either true of false, in the ini file. (I prefer this one because I can only activate the PIDs I want = fast refresh)

    mezz64, what program I have to use in order to make my own custom obdmpg.dll, using your source files?

    Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0

    And as to the PID settings I think I might start working on a configuration exe so you won't need to edit a text file. Just open the exe and adjust the necessary settings.

    I've been doing a bit of research on this stuff myself and have toyed with writing something myself to return the PID codes. The attached document outlines a method to query the scantool which returns a bitmap of supported PIDS. This will make sense if you refer to the PID codes on the OBDI Wiki.

    So it would be possible to support all 90 odd PID codes yet only poll for the ones supported by your vehicle. IN my instance, there is only about 20 PIDS supported. I have a few less than normal as I have a Diesel engine..

    The document comes from www.glmsoftware.com.au who has some free software to dechipher the bitmaps.

    Good luck with this.

    robweb, another way is to use ScanXLELM as it has a function to poll and list the supported PIDs.

    mezz64, ok I managed to make a dll to my needs. I use only 5 PIDs and deleted all the others...!
