I merely meant you use less fuel at idle than you do rolling. Under no load the engine should be more efficient at using fuel.

    Anyone use this adapter? http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.16921

I'd like to make sure it works before I pick it up, it's ELM 327 of course but over bluetooth. In the smallest package I've seen yet, so hopefully it won't hit my knee. Less wires is always better.

drewbp, Unfortunately with the way things are currently setup it will take the plugin a cycle to figure out which PIDs are available. It sends a request for all of them at once and then only repeats the request for the ones that return a value.

I'm interested to see if turning off the extraobd fixes the freezing problem as that's one quirk that I've never encountered in my own testing.
So I finally had a chance yesterday to set extraobd and GPS to false. Within minutes the rpm had frozen and I was registering negative MAP readings.

Just keeping you up to date with my testing.

I did a little check today on a long drive. On my way back I decided to copy over the dll from v1.4.1 rather than the test ones, and found that it didn't fix the distance calculations for me. I'm gonna look at it a bit more to make sure I didn't mess anything else up, but it may not be a plugin issue for that. I'm using March RR - might try to go backwards if I've still got a copy of lets say Dec RR.
    - with the latest dll you posted here that didn't make a difference for me with distances. Not sure if the fix was only for gps or not.

I wish I had a quick fix for you, but unfortunately I've been a little removed from this project for a while. It needs a good overview of the connections and calls to the OBD interface and some error handling built-in. I started working on that a while ago, but ended up getting sidetracked by other things.

I've cleared the password requirement for the test builds so anyone can give them a shot. They may fix your problem.
