Yes I noticed the links had ip address to them. I changed them to the domain in hopes that if they change servers again the domain name will remain the same.
Updated US database now available US015
This is mainly a cull and/or repair of non working cameras.
Some of the removed ones will return at a later date, some will not.
Some of the non working ones were the first ones in the database and also part of the not working caused the program to hang for quite a while, thus harming the performance of the plugin when going to the search screen. As these have been removed performance should be improved.
Repaired ones
Bellingham WA
Boise ID
Broward County FL
Chicago IL
JacksonVille FL
Miami-Dade FL
Milwaulkie
Spokane WA
Tampa Bay
Twin Cities TN
General Washington ones
And quite a few from CT
While the Dallas TX ones now have Coords they will need an updated plugin to work which I am currently working on.
Some which have been removed
El Paso - I could add these in as I have the urls, but they are gifs and really slow the plugin down.
Tennessee- Knoxville
Boston MA
Pittsburgh PA - Although I think these were duplicated in the databse with the others working
Ohio
Detriot MI
San Antonio TX
North Carolina
Lake Charles LA (plus other LA ones)
As I said some the above (In fact most of the above, I hope) should be back in the future.
Thanks a bunch Enforcer, donation sent and CT area looks good (so far, right?) Not quite done with other areas of CT but, that's ok. I'm sure your working on it. Well.....er, their is only one minor bug, for me anyway, maybe it's not a bug for other users, but I have to restart RR over to make the cam images update/change images. The old version of TC did not do this. These images changed on a dime. Thanx again Bud.![]()
Cheers for the donation. (was wondering who it was from as no username was listed![]()
)
The version of TC has not changed, just the database.
It could be a few things.
The images could be getting picked from the cache (especially if you are behind a proxy of some kind)
It's possible that in changing the location they have also changed the way in which the images update.
It may need a randon number on the end to help with bypass the cache.
Can you list me a few of the CameraID's that this is doing it with. (ie the U400xxx number)
When you say update, do you mean when you change the presets or do you mean the camera images themselves updating?
I've just tried those 5 cameras and they all seem to update fine. Takes anything up to 10 minutes to change depending on camera.
Now I am guessing you are using DFX5 (as I was to test this) and I have noticed that John has not used the proper button command to go from the search screen to the camera screen, so if you select new presets the skin is not telling RRTC to update it's preset list.
As a quick fix edit trafficam_search.skin and look for the following line
B21,0,528,100.72,"RRTC||rrtc_refresh",
and change it to
B21,0,528,100.72,"RRTC_back",
also
edit trafficam_web.skin and look for the following line
B21,0,528,100.72,"RRTC",
and change it to
B21,0,528,100.72,"RRTC_back",
I will put this into the DFX5 thread so he can add it to his list for his next patch.
Yes that did it. The images now change, thanks buddy. Plus I notice this in the last version also....> When RR/DFX starts up, the main menu button (bottom right) has a TCMap button label taking focus over the main menu button. Sometimes if I click the button just right the traffic maps window opens up. This does disappear once I tap the screen. Is this NoRMaL??![]()
sort of.
When RRTC starts up it runs an exe to be able to show the google map location of a cam (assuming there are GPS coords for it in the database).
Now the exe should used to be hidden but a while back after some MS update it stopped doing that and now shows where it does.
I have just tweaked the exe, so it should now hide until called upon.
However John needs to add a no gesture area where the map shows so it can be dragged.
Unzip the attached file to your trafficams folder and overwrite the current version
