latest version cured my issue and is working great for me! :) Question though.. is delay the length of time between refreshes?

yes.

I have found differtent sites and different countries have different update times.

Some of the US ones are 1 second updates, some are longer. The london ones average about 5-8 minutes, and some are longer.

Bear in mind if your cameras update in 1 second intervals and you set the delay to 1 sec, it's going to kill your CPU and probably slow RR to a crawl.

In others words you have to get a nice balance ;)

understood.. 30 secs is good enough.. around here when there's traffic its EASY to see with just one pic

Have you got a rrtc_newdatabase indicator in your skin.

If so the indicator should come on when a new database is downloaded.

You then need to press that indicator to load the new database.


And yes reloading the plugin will also update the database.

E, everthing seems to be fine.. i had it broken once by clicking other country and some stuff, but as long as i stick with the U.S., i don't think i will ever see that popup again. But, if you wanna fix it, you just gotta do the same thing what you did to fix for the U.S.

By the way, how does that map indicator work? will it flash the map button? So, far i haven't seen any from Dallas nor any flashing of that map button.... i noticed a little map app is running....

by the way, are those US cameras crap or what.. for some reason, England camera views from yours/carputer look a lot sharper.. Maybe its the weather and atmosphere..

There is no special 'fix' for the US. It should be the same for all.

I would be interested to know how you broke it by clicking other countries.

(there is one issue with the little map app you don't have a trafficcam_web.skin but that will be fixed in the release version.)

The map indicator will only pop up if the selected camera has GPS coords registered in the database. See FAQ at beginning of thread. And also read through the trafficams international thread you will see some people have collected GPS coords for cameras.

if you zoom in and click on individual cameras it will display the Lat, Lon and the camera ID in my databases.

I have started to skin it here, and am about 75% done. WoW! is all I can say, you have done a great job on this!!!!! Very impressive for sure!

One question, is there a way to reduce the white border around the Google map when embedded in the skin?
