Map of where cameras are (only the ones where I have GPS coords), your area not there? then get me the coords if the camera is already in the database or if cameras in your area not in database get me the camera urls and GPS coords.

Clicking on the icon will give you the Camera ID and it's GPS coords. (trying to add location as well)

exit - exits out of traffic cams (leaves it running in background)

Search / map screen
rrtc_find - Find selected locations
rrtc_prev - Change to previous page for camera seclections
rrtc_next - Change to next page for camera selections
rrtc_back - Go back to Camera screen
rrtc_osk - Brings up OSK to type in a search string
rrtc_databaselist - brings up a screen with a list of countries and whether the Database is installed

pgup - Move up a page in the selection list
up - Move up one camera in the selection list
down - Move down one camera in the selection list
pgdown - Move down a page in the selection list

Countries screen (pgup, up, dn and pgdown also work here)

rrtc_dbselect - Select country highlighted.
rrtc_back - go back to searc screen without changing database

Full map screen

rrtc_save - Save current full screen image to disc

In the following # is (1-6)

rrtc_#_cam - Currently selected camera will become in this position on the current page (3 pages of 6 available)

rrtc_favourite - Switches between main 18 cameras and a 'Favourite' further 18 cameras
rrtc_bygps - Switches between display preset cameras or by nearest according to your GPS position. (coming in 1.4x)

rrtc_presets - 'Main' if main presets are selected or 'Favourites' if favourites selected (coming in 1.4x)

rrtc_lat - Latitude displayed if ByGPS selected (coming in 1.4x)

Indicators
----------

rrtc_newdatabase - Indicates if a newer version of the database is available. Click on it or restart Trafficams to update.
rrtc_map - Indicates whether there are GPS cords in database, click to show camera location on a map.
rrtc_favourite - Indicates which bank of cameras you are on Main/Favourite pressing has the saem effect as pressing a button. (coming in 1.4x)
rrtc_cam - position of the camera in the search screen
rrtc_country - shows country map of country selected in list
rrtc_bygps - Cameras displayed by GPS (coming in 1.4x)

Custom lists
------------

search, web and countries .skins each need a custom list. It is recommended that the one in countries uses a fixed space font.

web skin needs an application area

Image Indicators for skinners (coming in 1.4x)

rrtc_noimage.jpg - image to display when there is no image available
rrtc_imageerror.jpg - image to display when there is an image but it cannot be displayed

The below commands have been withdrawn as 1) they didn't really serve a purpose unless you have a really slow PC and 2) I couldn't really get them to work how I wanted.

RRTCSEARCHING - this is sent when TrafficCams is searching the database for cameras
RRTCDONE - this is sent when TrafficCams has finished searching the database

Q. Why should I use this plugin version in RR as opposed to the Standalone version?

A. There is no reason why you shouldn't use the standalone version, however this version has better intergration with your RoadRunner skin and can also work with transparent ones

Q. I have put my country code in the ini but there is no cameras in the list?

A. The initial download only comes with the UK database, after you have entered your country code in the ini, run the program and leave it running for at least 5 mins. If the skin you are using has the 'New Database' indicator on it, it should light up when a new database is downloaded, click on this indicator and it will load the new database. If the skin has no indicator, stop and restart the program. If the database is still not there it could be that my website is down, you are behind a firewall which has blocked the download or the program itself was updating.

Q. Why is my country not supported?

A. I have collected as many countries as I can where I can, either from searching or other users providing links, if you country is not supported it is either I haven't found a website with the cameras or if I have they are moving images which TC does not support at this time. Bear in mind if the site is not in English I may have trouble understanding it.

Q. Why is my State/Town/City not supported?

Q. I have found a site for my Country/State/Town/City what do I need to do to get these added to the databases?

A. If it is a new Country then firstly provide me with a link, if it is not in English you may have to harvest the info yourself. Please provide the info in the following format

<lon>
NB the lat and lon need to be in decimal format and not Degrees Minutes, seconds. ie (34.4567,-23,9465)

Q. How can I download this wonderful creation?
A. Register on my forum at www.en4cer.co.uk/forum , when activated go to the downloads section.

Q. I have registered on your site but am still not activated, why?
A. I do not monitor the forum registrations 24/7 so it could take hours or possibly a day or two before I can activate you. If I am going away I will normally put this info into the news section of the forum. If however after a few days of registering you have not been activated then contact me via PM here. Using the same username as you do on here will help you get activated quicker.

Q. Does this application only work with Road Runner?

A. Yes, this is a dedicated RoadRunner Plugin, However there is a standalone version available.

Q. How do I change the size?

A. The plugin will run at the same size as RoadRunner.

Q. Can I use RRSkineditor to edit the skin?

A. Yes.

Q. How do I embed this is my skin?

A. Add a button with the command RRTC, and then design the screens to match your skin. Use the BMV2 skin files as a guideline

Q. Would someone care to send me this?

A. The Terms And Conditions expressly forbid the distribution of this program, please register on my forum to get your copy.

Q. Does this show redlight and speed cameras?

A. No, this is only for traffic movement cameras, for speed cameras a red light cameras try Gatso Hunter.

Q. Is the video live or updated? or mix?

A. Currently this is only static image cameras, these get updated by the websites anything from every second to some which update every 20mins.

Q. Does your plugin accepts video traffic cams?

A. Not at present, this maybe something for the future, but at the moment this would probably take too much bandwith.

Q. I would love to be able to add some custom images to the traffic cam app?

A. At present this is not possible, but it is something I will look into

Q. How do you pull coordinates for traffic cams?

A. This can be very laborious.
One method is to use google earth combined with the website the cameras are on and the Traffic Camera pictures.
You will need to look at roughtly where they say it is (there is normally a map of sorts), look at the picture, zoom in on google earth until you can marry the picture image with what is seen in google earth and then read the co-ordinates. It also helps if you are fairly familiar with the area/country.
Sometimes you are lucky and if you look at the source of the page with the map, it will sometimes provide the GPS coords in their somewhere, these can then just be copy and pasted into notepad.

Q. Why do you need the GPS coords with the cameras?

A. Two fold, one is to be able to see on a map where a camera is in the serach screen, help you decide if it is somewhere you go. And secondly I hope to add the ability to show cameras based on the position, so as you move it will always show the cameras nearest to you.

Q. I keep getting this error; error x or this function doesn't work?

A. First, check the whole of this thread to see if the same questions has been asked before and more importantly answered before. Second add debug=true to trafficcams.ini run RR, do what you do to get the error and then send me the debug.txt and your trafficcams.ini file. Address to send is in the readme.txt or use the email at the bottom of my site.

Q. I've changed the Datbase name in the Countries screen but I don't get a database for the country selected (pre 1.4 versions may also get a Runtime 5 error?

A. Check that your firewall has not blocked www.fileden.com as this is where the DB's are stored.

E, everything is ok so far, but it bombs with error msg 5, you know the old one i was talking about when the regional setting is set to other than english... This is somewhat major cuz i have many musics with non english title.. I can't give up that...

I know there are a lot of people listening music with jap, chinese, korean, russian, indian, etc... titles...

Oh, the unicode thingy.

Fixed it in the Standalone version, forgot about it this.

Will correct it (and a couple of other things) and release beta v2 tomorrow.

Not sure if you have all the Beta testers you need , but if your looking for anyone else ill take a pop at it - im not the best at this stuff , but ill try anything once - made a good few changes to my own setup , but its all based on the default skin.

Well it's a group of well known skinners primarily, because if anyone is going to break it, they are.

Also with them having it first they can develop their skin files for it, which makes it easier for people who don't skin to add it to their system.

Brandensin was given it because he 'broke' the standalone version a few times with his non english system. (as he has done here).
