Thread: GPS Gasoline RR Plugin: Now w/ iGuidance Support

I got a "Missing DAO" at the inital load. It seems to load fine now though. Also, do I have to manually put in the Lat/Long each time or should it log it to a file? It does save the html file for my zip code just not the coordinates.

Well if you are going to use it that way i can add that function if you like but its main purpose is simplicity so that you dont have to enter anything. run it in your car with the gpsport of your gps com split into rr so that rr displays the lat lon then gps will need no interaction at all

running version 0.6.4

This happens when I press the "search" button.

Also on initial load every field on the screen blinks on then off before the seach screen loads.

NOTE: I do NOT have an active internet connection when I test this on my carpc, on a desktop with an internet connection it is running just fine. Might be irrelevant but maybe not???

Perfect, that's what I was wondering. So just split the ports with Xport3. and it should be good to go?

yup have rr run the gps or wait for the version fo this whic is standalone then split the feed into this app by itself

the blinking i have not seen yet but the runtime error is most likely because its not getting internet i need to take a look at that

Looks like you are correct about the internet connection, I connected the carpc (the one that wasnt working) and it is now fine.
The app needs to run whether connected to the Internet or not. I will usually only connect the carpc when I need to.

Running the app standalone and NOT maxamizine the screen prior to pressing search I do NOT get the blinking. As soon as I maxamize the screen, or when it is running within RR it blinks when it is first loaded or when you press search for the first time. It's done this on all 3 PC's I've tried. No big deal it only seems to happen the 1st time.

On my CarpC set at 1024 x 768 (whether standalone or in RR) The line "Last Updated ........... Closest Zip" has a line right throug the midle of it.

I'd get rid of the "Are you sure you want to exit GPS Gasoline" in RR it's just a nuisance

Another subject... I had previously posted a question about getting weather by location. My simplistic solution was to automatically update rr.ini (Weather City=nnnn) from GPS. While a much more elegant solution is available, if the current city could be made available from your program it would answer my question.

the last bit about the weather ill do that thats easy enough

the flashing i did notice as well now that u mention it

the line part is something with the resizing of the controls im not that good at it lol
