I use 1024x768 (because of limitations on the laptop I'm using)

I dont know if this is any easier with the resizing option but how about colored backgrounds around each of the four stations (nothing gaugy, perhaps different shades of gray)

I just put it altogetherand drove around with a live Internet connection.
It works GREAT. Only major problem I found is the PRICE OF GAS IS TOO DAMN HIGH.
Mind you If you are really paying $3.11 I feel better at ONLY $2.68 (mid Missouri)

You might want to make the distance to station (and directions later) dynamic. So that they automatically update without pressing Search. I presume you have the data you would need.

As some one else suggested, Closest ATM etc...

Sweet lost! you're the man! :-)

On the ATM suggestion. Most banks have the ATM locations listed on their sites (and they usually don't change), it might take a bit of work (I'll help if you want), but we could compile a DB of the ATMS for the banks (cover as many as known and requested). lol just an ideal. THOUGH, now that I think about it, doesn't most of the GPS nav software have ATMs listed? or am I thinking all crazy cuz it's been a lonnnggg day? I still would be cool though :-p

THANKS a lot webmaster for the tip, it worked now i embed it using picview.skin, and MUCHO GRACIAS lostreception for an amazing program once again. here are my observations so far.

    1. unless i start mapmonkey first (or i guess any other gps program), then gpsgas will not be able to autofill the lat/long coordinates. so i have to open gps mapmonkey first, exit, then run gpsgas to get the right coordinates. anywork around with this? im sure 99.9% i will use gps first before gpsgas but its just a heads up.
    2. distance is still wrong, they have all the same distance like my first observation in the post, dont know why
    3. as mentioned in the other post, maybe autoupdate without having to click search.
    4. as requested, maybe be able to click the address or gas icon and then mapmonkey or any other gps software will route you automatically.
    5. buttons and text could be bigger maybe? bigger buttons are better for a small screen.

    later. thanks

No, Use Xport3, enter the com port of your gps, then Enable service to two new com ports (8, 9?). Open Mapmonkey, Iguidance, whatever, and enter Com 8 (for example only), save and close. Open rr.ini (in notepad or wordpad) and enter mappointport=9 as the first line. You will need to do this anytime you use RRcongig for editing rr.ini as it will delete the entry.

Launch RR.exe and you should have GPS data to RR for GPSGAS to use anytime the GPS is plugged in. No other apps neccessary other than Xport3.

Got this program working on my CF-27 touchscreen laptop (300mhz). Works on the desk so far using Xport3 to split ports.

Note for TinyXP rev04 users: You need to install MSCOMM32.OCX (search google for download). (http://www.yes-tele.com/mscomm.ZIP)

Download, stick it in windows/system32, and register by Run: regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\mscomm32.ocx

I found the distances reasonably accurate. If your were on a trip and cruising down the freeway it would be more than adaquate. If you are driving around town (I've only tried it in Jefferson City MO). It's a bit off, you can be right next to a gas station and it will tell you it's 1.2 miles away.
As I would use this to find stations when traveling new places I dont think this would be a problem, around my town I know where I will be going for gas anyway.
In any case you have the stations address so you will still be able to find it.

If I had to justify spending the money on a CarPC, this application would make it worthwhile.
