    Using Bluetooth with widcomm driver.
    File transfer works/ Phoco works.

I'm assuming you are acting correctly because until you don't receive connection confirmation with your phone you can only choose the comm port number, and the N,8,1 standard parameters.
So, beside you are using an erroneous comm port number there are not many option left.

    AT+GMI (Sony Ericsson)
    AT+CGMM (AAB-1021011-BV)
    AT+CBC (+CBC: 1,80)
    AT+CSQ (+CSQ: 12,99)

But when running the plugin the log shows only the first AT (OK) works. I saw another logfile for a T610 from another user that had more success.

Hope you keep up this great project.
    In effect is strange...
Actually i'm using the plain VB Serial Comm ActiveX control.
At this stage of the tests I don't know if is a reliable object to use.

Stay tuned and test next versions of the PlugIn when they are released

What you can do is to find lliterature on the net regarding any AT compatibility of this type of phones once connected.

Even consider the word "connected" is a complex topic to analize, BT, USB, ActiveSynec, Infrared.

WM5 is more a computer than a Phone.

My best guess is to open a BT connection and use the Serial Port Service in a certain way

    I need "a good start" !

I've double checked the comms, it's definitely comm 4. Could the fact that I am using bluetooth have anything to do with it ?
I am able to transfer files via widcomm so I know the bluetooth is functioning correctly and I am able to connect easily.
So I am baffled as to why my T610 won't communicate when others do.

Yes please. Use Hiperterminal but first enable the terminal echo with ATV1Q0
    Hey RRMobile

I havent had any real luck yet with the AT commands for getting the phone book.... I have posted on howardforums also, but no luck there either....

I am attaching a screen shot with basic 4 commands...that worked.

Please help us LG users..., I am hoping you will include those commands... in your next version.... and give us some hope that the plugin will work.

With the july 6 release... i was able to get the battery indicator and the signal indicator..

    thanks

your really gonna have to be patient jay tu. The core components arent done yet so there's no way special case phones are gonna be worked on now. Ur phone.. like mine.. probably needs special initialization before commands are sent. Once the core of the program is complete i will help work with the lg, motorola, and other cdmas

Hey Jay tu, I'd like to see the vx8100 work too, but at best all I think we're going to be able to do is use any plugin that uses AT commands to dial and receive calls. As far as I can tell, and I'm no expert, CDMA based phones use the BREW protocol for communication/applications. If you haven't already, take a look at Bitpim, enable protocol logging and take a look at the output.

The AT commands on the phone seem to be there to enable modem and fax functionality.

Now with that said, a plugin could be made, but we would either have to combine BREW commands with AT commands or know all the BREW commands to make the phone work. The good news on this front is that one could borrow from bitpim (use brew) to download phone information, call history, phone books etc and use AT commands dial and receive calls, get battery info, signal info, etc.

Another possibility is to figure out how OEM or aftermarket hands free systems communicate with the CDMA phone. My wife has an OEM system in her car so all I need is a bluetooth traffic sniffer/monitor and I may be able to post a couple of logs. Anyone know of such a program?

the bitpim program uses AT commands you just dont see them at work. Like i said before the reason the phone isnt working with this plugin is the phone needs special initialization. It needs to be put ina certain mode before it can receive commands. If it were a completely different protocol the phone wouldnt work in phoco.

Really, any idea where a list or any documentation is? I'd like to try experimenting with this. I just started looking over the bitpim source code yesterday, but I'm not much of a programmer so it's going to be pretty slow going for me.

As for working in Phoco or any other terminal program, I was able to dial and receive calls by using the BT DUN profile rather than the serial profile. I think that initialization is only needed when using the BT serial service since I'm unable to get any communication at all when using the serial service with terminal program or phoco.

JayTu, do you use the BTserial or BTmodem/DUN profile to access your phone?
