yeah i was also curious about that. i want my pc to be the interface to the phone, my bluetooth headset for speaker and mic. im guessing either the pc or my ophone will have to hanlde 2 bluetooth streams. the headset and the phone. i can buy a heaset just for the car so im not too worry about leaving it paired with the pc. oh well time will tell.

nice app so far man. im running the v3 and i was able to get phone books etc to work flawlessly. cant wait for the update.

Yes I have - but man I am open to anything ....

It is a BLackberry 8700C. I feel I have 1 of 2 key pieces down.... But without the hangup or reinit I am hosed....

    1) I can DIAL with ATD / ATDT and it will kick up a dial, I have not verified with a BT set or anything yet and curious how you guys are setting up these in your cars.

    2) The struggle - I absolutely can't terminate the call. I am hoping there is a hangup command, reinit, anything that would force the call to drop - this would almost complete me.

It's almost as if once the dial command hits - everything else gets ignored? Seems too strange it would accept any AT command at all, like ATDT and not be able to have one to drop. I've googled the planet with nothing of help. This app seems great because I think getting the SIM book aint gonna happen, so if all I can do is DIAL from and OFFLINE BOOK / TALK / HANGUP!!! I am set and would much prefer this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This must be done with the USB Cable - no issues for me with that, as the BT wont work with the BB as a modem type device....

Folks - any advice would be huge. HUGE!!!!

I so much appreciate so many people at least offering anything - thanks. How are you guys using this setup in your cars? Meaning with audio and mic.?

Road Runner Mobile Phone Plugin for Razr V3

Has anyone got the Razr V3 to work yet?

I have been playing with and reading the post and I can not see what I am doing wrong.

    I keep getting an error

"Error in function: RRM_Refresh. during: <Not defined>. num:999. desc: Error initializing the phones.

    Command:AT+CLIP=1"

does anyone have a way to make this work?

Thank you for any help you can give me.

yeah it works to the v3,

your comm port setting is wrong. if you look at the bluetooth manager itll show you the diff comm ports. mine was com 4 at 9600 baud. your comm settings just need to be set correctly.

Road Runner Mobile Phone Plugin for Razr V3

I should have given more infomation to you.

I am using USB cable to connect to the Razr to save battery on the phone. It is on Com 3 at 9600. I am able to use moble phone tools on that com port and settings.

The phone starts to connect then hangs at that error.

ahhh yes i should of read your error better. I had that error at first also. You need to go into the RRmobile.ini file and comment that command out. the v3 doesnt support that command.
    will look like this

    # RRMCmdInit. Values=<ATCmd>|<ATCmd>... Deafult=AT|ATE0V1 This is a command sequence performed immediatly after the Comm
    # port is opened. Is re-executed anytime the connection is lost and re-activated.
    RRMCmdInit=AT|ATE0V1
    # AT+CLIP=1

I just put that command on the next line and the # comments it out from being read as code.

    Thanks

Looking the Output.xls i saw that all the standard Phonebook commands are not supported. This is because probably the N91 use the Symyab OS.

Now I'm working to complete the plugin with all the funcionalities. Once released I will go back to compatibility

Tested it with my RAZR V3, worked great after I got rid of the CLIP setting on the initialization string. Well, worked great for the features it can do now. You will find that the motorola phones can't support multiple bluetooth connections at once, so in order to get the program to work with those phones you have to first send the serial commmands to the phone, then disconnect that bluetooth connection and connect to the audio gateway, then the user has to click a button to end the call which will switch the blueotooth connectino back to serial and send the comands to end the call.

In phonecontrol theres a bug where the v3 and a few other newer moto phones will just drop the blutooth connection all together after trying ot switch back to serial and they completely reject bluetooth connections until you answer a question on the phone. Not sure if this is because of the way phonecontrol is ending the call or if its because of the phones firmware but I'm sure hoping it works with your program when you get it all working!
CarPC install is starting to come along again...
