ok been playing alittle with the skin.. :-) I keep getting afew errors here and there that I didnt seem to be getting before.. attached is a pic.. and also are the phone icons skinnable.. the little blue ones in the pic below.. O and also.. I'm getting '?' where spaces are ment to be it seems in the names.
whilst i'm thinking (doesnt happen often)
would it be possible, when clicking on the name (list) that it updates the phone number pad with its stored number for that name.. doing this then would save having two call buttons.. the numberpad call button would then always call the number stored in its display.. so you would do a search.. ie.. HOM (466) then click on home out of your contacts list.. the number updates on your display and then you click call.. just an idea anyway..
heres another updated skin.. its getting there now :-)
One thing I have noticed is that if I make a call the dialled calls isn't updated until I physically press refresh. Another observation is that if there is a call record without a name against it then it appears as 'no name' is there anyway to make it show the number instead in these instances??
Other than that looking good so far
I did a little more poking around with my config file and am now able to make calls, hang up and receive calls using this plugin.
My config is attached. I suspect that this will work on most LG CDMA phones (maybe others too).
I haven't quite figured out how to make my bluetooth audio gateway automatically connect when the call begins and disconnect when the call ends. If I manually turn on the audio gateway the audio is routed through my PC's speakers and Mic (need to make sure that the Mic and not line in is selected as the input source). Does anyone have any ideas on how to have the audio automatically switch? Has this feature been implimented yet? I'm using the WIDCOMM drivers and an $8 zonet usb dongle.
For those who may be wondering, the VX8100 is able to have both an audio connection and a command (DUN) connection running at the same time.
EDIT: After A bit more experimentation I don't think connecting and disconnecting the BT audio gateway for each call is such a good idea if your phone can support multiple connections. What may be best is to have RRMobile check on startup (or resuming from hibernation/suspend) if the phone is available and connect the audio gateway at that time. Control over what sound makes it to the speakers can be handled through muting and unmuting of audio sources in the mixer.
