ok, the livetraffic program (very sneaky like) 'aquires' the traffic cam pictures from a traffic cam website where they constantly change the file name of the pictures to try and prevent us from using their pics in that way. The only thing you should need to do with my skin since it's all setup, is to configure the ini file for livetraffic. for instance if your road runner installation is like such:

C:\PROGRAM FILES\ROAD RUNNER\

and you copy the livetraffic folder to that directory, you should have

C:\PROGRAM FILES\ROAD RUNNER\livetraffic\

inside that file there is "livetraffic.ini", that needs to be edited to point at the skin folder where you will be running the livetraffic skin. i.e.

my skin folder setup is:

C:\PROGRAM FILES\ROAD RUNNER\SKINS\COBRA_08\SKIN\

so that is were the ini file should point and will be where the livetraffic program 'dumps' all the pictures it downloads.

just to let ya know this isnt dead yet i'll soon be releasing a cam searcher. basically you enter the cam number or street info and it gives you the correct link to where your cam is located on the net

Sweet! Is this coming with a release that allows us to enter the cam IDs into an 'ini' file so we can configure which cams to download?

well.. sorta. When i get this damn GUI working the way i want it to you will be able to enter a street name or a camera ID as a search keyword and it will return a list of results. Once you select a result the cam info will be saved to a data file. Once you have all your cams in that data file you will be able to compile your own customized livetraffic.exe

Step by step though, first i gotta figure out the in's and outs of the GUI stuff lol

I'm also talkin to a guy that knows php to see if he can make me scripts for other areas! Right now though, still DC only

There are 60+ traffic cameras in south florida (mainly in the miami area).
