if you press the "save" button, you send the command with "fscommand("poisave;45.332;54.753;Radar20060912;Ra dar")". This is for flash and i dont know how to do it in non-flash skins.
It's clear that it can only calculate the distance, when you send the current position to the plugin with "fscommand("poiposi;45.332;54.753")"
About the label: To show the name of the nearest poi the label must be called: "poiname1", the distance is called "poidis1" and so on.
i include the main screen of my skin, maybe this helps
That ends it right there, and I will not be able to take advantage of your plugin I do not use flash based skins, so I will have to find another way to go about doing this. Sorry for all the confusion.
so i want to clarify this, does this plugin only work if you are using FLASH SKINS ?
So far i cant get anything to work. Im most interested in the bookmark feature. Ive tried a few of the label codes but non of them show anything.
there's nothing that flash can do from a command standpoint that a non-flash skin can't do. In fact, alot of rr commands cannot be run directly thru flash. The way to get around this is to use exectbl.ini.
Everyone here is confused on how pressing the POISAVE button takes the LAT and LON coordinates and enters them into the button command so rr can process it.
And I honestly thought it was just me. Sonic and LS, you guys made me feel a little better
I have been wanting something like what this is supposed to do for quite a long time now. (The POI aspect of it). Could be used when approaching speed camera's, (I use IG not Destinator) rest stops on long interstates, known speed trap area's, Toll booths ect ect....
- there is no label which is related to the bookmark feature (you can save and load a bookmark, thats all)
- all labels require to do some action before they will output something (for pois u must tell the plugin the position, for fileinfo the filename)
I will provide a better documentation 4 the release version...
you have rr labels for latitude and longitude. Just define them for the skin and automagically u can use them.
Now comes final part - send the command to rr (here is an example):
fscommand("poisave;" + _root.GPSLAT + ";" + _root.GPSLON + ";" + _root.POISAVE + ";" + _root.Category);
-poisave is the name of the poi
-category is the category string
Thats all....hope it helps
so how would you pass the information to the label? I kind of would expect the lablel to go out and find the information and bring it back to me for example in a lablel i just put "-id3artist" as the code, is there more i need to do. I also tried "id3artist" not sure about the dashes.
I never got to actually try the bookmark feature as i couldn't get any of the labels to work i knew i would have problems after that.
Some other questions, are the dashes "-" apart of your commands, i notice you use them all over, like -id3artist. Just curious cuz nothing else in RR uses a dash or underscore.
