I added VMIRROR and HMIRROR to version 1.2, which I'm still working on. Thats why they dont work with version 1.1

I could release it as it is now, with only minor changes from version 1.1, because adding the full customization and indicator/label support is going to take awhile, what with me busy most of the time fighting a war and all. I think i actually have 1.2 all ready to release, which is really just 1.1 with hmirror and vmirror, and a few minor additions.

When I get back to my computer tonight, I'll see about packing it up for release and I'll upload it ASAP. I finally have access to unrestricted internet, so I can upload it without any of those funky work arounds. I also added the mirror button back on the supplied sample skin

The way I plan on adding in label support is to simply place a L:lablename and I:indicatorname in the config file, and it will replace and display those accordingly =] It took a night or two of brainstorming to figure out how i was going to accomplish this in the code, and by then I was out of free time =[ But soon enough, loyal users! I'm workin on this every free moment I have =]

JohnWPB do you plan on releasing your skin for RRCam and/or including it with your next digital fx release? I sure hope so =] If you do, it's fine by me. Same with anyone else that wants to add this to a skin release.

    I think this covers everything..

P.S. I've been working on a configuration app for some time now but with the changes in each release it's hard to get close to finishing it, but I'm slowly gettin there. It's not the prettiest, but it was designed to be touchscreen friendly =]

EDIT: About running out of places for buttons... Thats why in 1.2 the mirror button cycles through, and there are options in the config file to set it to mirror on startup by defualt. The way I figure, there's not going to be many times where you'll want it mirrored sometimes and not others. If it's a backup cam it's a backup cam, right? So you can set it to mirror in the config file. But just in case, you could add a button or not, and the Mirror command to cycle through. I'm trying to do this with other buttons as well.

Also, quick thought, you can always set the record button to capture a still image when it's held that eliminates another button =] I'll probably do this in the next release with the included skin. I'm also adding commands here and there to give you even MORE options, like there is a stop recording command now, among others. When I release software I try to make it as flexible as possible for ya guys =]

Like what you have done so far - just a request/query - it works via usb but not via my firewire port - can this be looked at? Movie maker sees the camera through when its connected to the firewire port so its not a connection problem. Thanks.....

While there is a chance this is an issue with Video OCX (the main video capture/processing bit in RRCam) there is also a chance theres something i can do about it. I'll add in a quick check and an option in the config to pick the driver. Hopefully this will get it working for you =]
