will test it right away, tnx
Finished up RRCam 1.1 a few minutes ago. Fixed a bug or two, as well as added the ability to overlay date and time, and your own custom text =]
Download the attached RRCam1.1.txt file, but save it as RRCam1.1.zip (or rename it after you download it.) Then unzip the file to your skin folder. Next make sure you run RRCam-RunMeFirst.bat. This renames the file RRCam.jpg in the RRCam folder to RRCam.exe because the firewall here wont let me upload .exe or.zip files.
Included is a very poor sample skin to get you started, or you can run RRCam.exe right away, as TestMode is enabled by default and buttons to control it will show up. Check out config.ini to change the default custom text as well as many many other options =]
EDIT: Made a few quick changes to RRCam1.1.txt attached below
EDIT: More changes Just ironing out the small bugs. Should be good to go for now (until the next release )
will test it right away, tnx
So far it looks great! only:
1. if i leave the video to 8 fps it will not record, i get an videoocx error
2. the recorded video file is corrupt it seams (as DIVX and as MSVC)
but i will check on those things again, because maybe it's my pc
error 2 seams only to be happening if i close RR and the app is still running, i guess it doesn't like to be closed by RR. If i press record the file is closed and 100% ok.
Ah! I will change the default to MSVC (forget that not everyone has DIVX)
Also, the 8fps is wierd, I havent had any issues.. What happens if you set it lower or higher?
Hmm.. I always had an issue with that. If you record ten seconds of video at 25 fps, and then play the video file, does it take 10 seconds to play back? if i do that on my computer, the file plays back in like 2 seconds, because the software cant add the frames to the video fast enough. Thats why I have it set to 8...
about your second error, that might be a lack of foresight on my part.. Let me double check the code to make sure it properly closes the video file when RoadRunner exits...
you are right, if i leave it on 25 time ticks faster. I will play a bit with these settings
Guess I should make that a bit more clear in config.ini
Also, I changed the default to MSVC and changed the code for the exit menu to tell RRCam to exit, and then have RoadRunner close RRCam, then display the exit men. That should fix the problem with the corrupt videos.
When you send the message EXIT to RRCam, if its recording, it will stop and close the file, so it wont be corrupt =]Code:B,98,526,99,78,""SENDMSG;RRCam.exe;EXIT||CLOSEWINDOW;RRCam.exe||EXITMENU",
power down, it will close RR. But before RR is closed RR closes all the programs it opened, in this case RRcam, but RRcam doesn't get the right closing command so the file is corrupt.
Maybe i can tell RR to close RRcam with the right parameters, i will search if there is any option available to do so
