    Thanks Sonic.

Ok, I got coverflow art to show!

Two issues: The pics look horrible and pixelated. What is the minimum recommended resolution for album art in the coverflow plugin?

Also, it lists the songs alphabetically. Does this plug not read the track numbers from the tag? Do I need to go into my whole music collection and rename the files with 01, 02, 03 in front of the filename? Yikes...

This feature seems mature now so I need to ask the gurus how do I use a single coverflow directory for multiple skins? I see that at least 7 RR skins have some sort of coverflow implementation, there seems to be two or three different versions being distributed, but they all have coverflow as a subdirectory of the skin. My biggest concern is the use of cddbcontrol.dll since there are two versions of it being distributed and it must be registered for coverflow to work, but its also used for tag editor. Right now everytime I run coverflow builder from a different skin it reregisters the dll before rebuilding the xml files. This has got to be wreaking havoc on my registry tables (just did a quick registry scan and it in there over 100 times).

This leads me to believe we need to move cddbcontrol.dll to the RR directory so all programs can utilize one installation of the driver. And move coverflow to a subdirectory of RR available to all skins like the tags function.

What's everyone think of this idea?

Plugins should never be stuck in the skins folder, that is where this plugin let's itself down. Not everyone uses the same skin all the time and will want to swap.

<having said that I have not tried installing elsewhere, so it might work.>

But it really needs to be in it's own folder in the root of RR.

i agree with you guys, have all plugins that are somehow standard for all skins, to be placed in a folder "plugins", and maybe in there make subfolders when needed.

But does this mean the autoit scripts have to be rewritten cause I can't get it to work this way.

yes he will have to rewrite the autoitscripts because he used fixed file locations in his script.

Hmmm let me think about this one bc I don't think I have to make any modifications for this to work in the RR root path.
You just have to change the path of the swf.
Make a folder in RR called plugins with the coverflow.swf and coverflow.ini. Create another subfolder called coverflow with the exe scrips and all the xml's.
In the skin you want to use, just reference it to the correct path. If I'm not mistaken everything should work.

    F,2,182,790,410,"$RRPATH$plugins\coverflow.swf"

Make sure you fix your exectbl.ini to the correct path to the scripts.

The only "fixed" path I have is the coverflow folder. As long as the swf is one level below the coverflow folder, you can put it anywhere you want.

I have made some changes that might speed up things up and "might" have the first song issue fixed ( for whoever is having that problem). This is not an "official" version bc its mostly heavily modified to work with MY skin which loads coverflow.swf from another flash file. There are some changes in this which i been kinda working on...

    - If you have any folders that use languages like russian, korean, chinese, japanese , greek, latin and want the unicode font, put a ~ on the folder name (end or beggining). Anything that has a ~ in the directory path will use unicode font. Otherwise it uses standard english fonts.
    - Clicking down on the album (before it flips) lets u drag through the albums left or right.
    - The list will autoscroll to the song playing after it changes ( as long as its the same album) Basically it becomes a secondary playlist.

    Anyway... give it a shot

    **EDIT**
I can't seem to post the swf here so i'll have to upload it elsewhere. Somethihng about permissions or not letting me edit my post :/
    *** EDIT2***
So i'll just make a new one! Sorry for the double post
