John,correct me if i'm wrong but haven't you been working on Iphone type scrolling?

Is there any reason why that method your playing with can't be used for this type of list = see pic

I know that wouldn't look anything like coverflow but i think we'd all take function over form any day

EDIT = While i'm on the subject,Any idea when we can expect to see that flick scrolling in RR?

The directories that it does are not different to the others that it doesnt do.

Look for "strange" characters after the H:\Music\Rap R&B\Ludacris\Release Therapy\ album. Check the mp3 id3 tag also since it reads from it to get album and artist info. Run the builder again and see if that solves your problem.

The flick scrolling is something Guino is working on, I have just been beta testing it is all. It is designed for text only, and will not work with images. I am not sure when he will be releasing the version of RR with it in it. Give him some time to work out the kinks and things.

I will have a new version soon to the builder which will now support Unicode ( i.e. no more crashes due to characters like ñ)

I'm in testing stage right now and also changing the coverflow flash to support unicode as well. For those who use albums organized by letter, I'll see if i can modify it to support that too.

Here are some teaser pics of whats in development.. don't have a release date yet sorry.

It will build the xml files based on genres first ( as before) but this time it will support unicode so there shouldn't be any issues with creating playlists even if you have songs in different encoding. Displaying them accurately in flash is a different story tho.

After building the xml, another script will build a separate "set" of xml's by artist name where you can toggle in the coverflow app.

Clicking on album will display the track info just like in the iphone. I am currently working on making that scrollable and selectable to play specific songs or the whole album.
