Online Check Script

During my drive to work today, there is a spot where the cable company sets up some nice repeaters for me to test your plug in.

Picked up the signal and started to refresh the weather. The signal was lost and did not finish the download. So of course I got the famous blank weather screen.

So a couple of questions:

Is it possible to save the download to a temp file first, then if completed properly it will show the information?

Also I did pick up again but did not seem to overwrite the incomplete download. Once it does its inital download if it is incomplete should it overwrite it?

I am thinking that if the file is downloaded it will not overwrite it as the corupted file is not considered old yet?

It is possible, but not with the onlinecheck script...as it can just tell rr what to do when online/offline. More of a limitation of the RR weather IMO. The partial weather download can happen with the reload weather button just as easy as having onlinecheck reload the weather.

Yep, have ran into this. The other question was if it does down load a partial weather file. Will it stop trying to refresh, as the file is less than 30 mins old?

if it was today , you might find your not the only 1 with the problem , just tryed refreshing my weather, and got nothing, so it might not have anything to do with your or mine's setup

Yep it was today

So its is something to do with the content provider and not the plug in. Thats good news.

The only thing the script does with weather is the reload weather command. It doesn't check the file time...after the script executes the command it will wait however many minutes before trying again.
