I can do C# coding and debugging, interested in adapting this to a gasonline engine. I am riding a VW Passat VR6 1997.

Let me know where to begin, if possible.

We can make this work for your car, but I honestly don't have the time to do all of the coding. if you are willing to do most of it, I can explain it over the phone while you look at it.

I have tried several ways to use this in road runner, LOAD, RUNQ, ONSKINSTART all have quarks.

Those of you with it tied in satisfactorily please give specifics, which files to edit (rr.ini, execTbl). Then what to change in the files again specifics where in the file, "very top" after "xxx".

No fragments as that is how I come this point of asking for specfics.

hey guys, I've been watching this post for some time, and I've just registered to try to help

I have a VW Suran (I think it's only for the south american market), but it is built with the VW Golf's 1.6l engine (not diesel)

I was able to install all the files, I can now open road runner, and it opens VAGcom, but I don't see any info. As I read this is because it's not opening the correct meas blocks.

I've never used C++, and I've never even seen it, but I'm willing to help resolve this for the gas users.

If you can provide me with a quick tutorial, I can get the C++ installed and try to see if I can figure something out

I have a Vag 409 wire with modification for run with INPA BMW.
can I use this great plugins??

That depends if the BMW has the same blocks for reading.

There are two things that you would need for this to work:
1) actual vag-com software (I use it for communicating with the ECU)
2) The same block setup.

Blocks are sets of four values that are read from the ECU, they are sequentially numbered and each block pulls in a different set of data. If those blocks are not exactly the same for your car as mine then it will not work.

I doubt this software would work out of box for you, but if you do use real vag-com software from ross-tech then you should be able to modify the source that I supply to make it work.
