Hi there. good to see someones using it. Still working on it but wasn't getting much feedback as to whether it was working or not.
So trying to solve your problem
when you run rrvlc do you see the window with the cone like in the screen shot ?
With it saying your missing the axvlc.dll have you installed vlc itself and if so what version?
Afraid I cant take a screen shot of it running as all i get is a black screen even when I pause the video.
you could allways send me a screen shot of the error which may help track the problem down.
Anyway will try to help as much as I can.

pdegameplayer
does it work for you with the bmv2 skin?
What happens with the lsx void skin? With more info I can maybe get it working for you.

ok.. my bad.. didn't realize no vlc program was installed on this one.. Still.. i am not getting to where it shows what the screen shot shows above.. if i try to load vlc by clicking the video button on menu, it won't show that extra window with cone.. just video skin... and none of the buttons do anything..

also struggling here to get it working.
i see the window with the cone like in the screen shot when i run rrvlc? is this good or bad? it is just never embedded into rr.
i have vlc installed via install programm. so everything should be registered, right? or do i need to register anything else

i get a very similar error to what brandensin got! i have not tried it with the bmv2 skin as i really don't like that skin and have no idea how to navigate it

Hi everyone.
You dont have to register anything as long as you left the "install activex component" checked when you installed vlc.( you should see an axvlc.dll in you videolan install directory)
The error message your getting was what I thought I had fixed. Can you all confirm you have used the exe from post 18?
If you have try removing the path setting from the rrvlc.ini file.
The buttons on the skin dont appear to do anything if the plugin isn't running but you should see the labels being set in rr's debug file if you have it switched on. You dont need to look its just an explaination.
I will try to reproduce the error again but please be patient as I'm travelling and wont be home for a week.

installed vlc program.. unzipped ur files and placed them in the RR dir. Again replaced with new one from the post 18.. Modified ini to set a path for my video files...
I clicked video, it loaded video skin but, it did't seem to load the vlc plugin..
Are there anything else i am missing?

I'm not using it but it seams to me that if it's a plug-in, you should have a "X,Something" in menu.skin to call-up the plug-in - just a thought!

no dll treetop... and no instruction for that specific info... just exe file and ini.. i wonder if this is somehing that we need to embed as an external app like trafficcam.. Then, how do we make the menu disappear........ Hope op provides more info.. I don't know how other guys made it work....
i need to get this to work, cuz my video for some reason is not using mpc, instead it uses winamp.... don't get it why.... just started doing that oneday.. :(
