Traffic Cam setup help please?

Hey Friends, I searched around and found the plugin for the traffic cam, however now i am stuck! I was hoping someone could lend a hand here.

I have digitalfx4.0 on rr and I am trying to get traffic cams to work. I have read the README.TEXT and here is where I am stuck at.

To enable access to this you will need to create a button like below

B,x,y,w,h,"load;trafficcam.skin;Traffic Cam;$rrpath$Traffic Cams\Trafficams.exe;Trafficams"

Or Requested by JohnWPB you can change the embed keyword to msatuev ie

B,x,y,w,h,"load;trafficcam.skin;Traffic Cam;$rrpath$Traffic Cams\Trafficams.exe;msatuev"


I understand I need to create a new button, but how do I do this? Where do I go to create a new button? On my front end there is a button already there for traffic cams. I need to create another button? If so how do I do this?

John has a different system to everyone else in his skin.

He has it so you can customise the buttons for the menus whilst running roadrunner.

Go to the (I think it's called) app chooser screen and then select which buitton you want to be trafficams.

Also I am not sure whether Joh has included the skin files for the actual program this time, if not you may have to contact him to getthem

Enforcer - Thanks for getting back to me, Please have a look at my screen shots. I have the button and the skin correct as I believe. Is this what you are talking about? If not where do I go in rr to app chooser?

Yep, that looks like it is set to go.

The only thing missing is the skin files that need to go in the Traffic Cams skin folder.

I have run the DFX4.0 installer and it does not seem they have been included. You will need to speak to John about those.

@ funkyPhil: I removed Traffic cams from the last release, as it was the only thing that can not be skinned to match the rest of the DFX skin. (There is no way to make it transparent to match the skin). I still have the skin file's here somewhere, and will try to put them up somewhere for download.

That would be a HUGE help, I personally don't mind if that one skin doesn't match all that well. As long as it works. Reason I would like this to work so baddly is, I do local traffic cam installs for the police here part time as well as local park cams installs. And having this feature in my car would make life a lot easier! So any help you can provide would be wonderful!

I put the skins HERE.

There is now a proper RRPlugin for Traffic cams.
