    Currently it can not.
It should work fine with KMPH, it doesnt announce your speed as MPH or KMPH, you will have to set RR for international units
In RR config go to the GPS menu, then select international units. This will set your speed to KMPH. As far as setting the speed limits, you may have to make some changes to the entries in you add to the exectble.ini to reflect the speed limit presets you want to use. But the speed zones should work no matter what units you use KMPH or MPH.

Made an update to the documentation..
You no longer have to come to a complete stop to set a speed zone position. I set a few of the going 65mph on the interstate and it seems to work pretty good.
This could be used to warn you of speed cameras or speed traps as well.

    hi

is it possible to extract speedzone info from navigation maps so that i dont have to start from scratch?

or is it possible to learn the plugin where the zones are by tab a button when you pass a speed limit sign? the plugin will then remember where and what direction you where going

    regards

    bo

How this plugin works is it gets the GPS coordinates from RR then compares them to the coordinates that were saved as positions. So when you pass through the area that your position was saved to it will detect that with in 100feet. You can set these zones for anything, speed limit signs, school zones, speed traps what ever you want or when you pass you favorite porn store. It does not remember the direction in which you were traveling, but for most uses it works well.

So to answer your question know it is not reasonable to extract info from nav maps. With this plug in there are only 10 setpoints so to start from scratch shouldnt be too hard anyway.

nice work i have some code that compares one coordinate to another and maybe you can add it on to the script as well the coordinates are compared and tells you the bearing at the time. you can also pull that from the nmea data and have a flip option for people who use thier gps puck in reverse. if you added that functionality it would help in marking one way speed traps on highways etc is this something you think you would be able to do. like adding an approching speed trap area please slow down to "65" within 500 ft

I could use a heading code, just never reallly planned for that.
As far as the 10 zone limit I left it at that just because it was getting tedious repeating basically the same code over and over to compare setpoints. I could easily add another set of 10. Maybe in the future.

After some thought I think I will add the heading code. It could prove pretty useful
    Expect another release soon....

OK I added 10 more speed zones, along with a setpoint to detect the direction your heading.
THis was actually very easy. Took about 45 minutes. Wish I had done this early.
