It would be quite a bit of code.

had a look around last night.

Some people use the nero sdk, but then that still needs nero installed.

I for a while thought I had a line on to a pure VB example but the code was no longer available at the end of the paperchain.

I thought about doing this a long time ago and never followed through. The main issue's to overcome are:

    1) A decent interface that can let you add and remove songs, keeping track of all songs added play times, and make sure they fit on standard 70 min CD's.

    2) Most command line stuff only burns .wav files, so converting from mp3 to .wav is a necessary step.

    3) actually making an audio CD, and not just copying files to the CD as a data disk.

I personally think it would be nicer to have the native look of RR, and not to just embed an app.

I have been playing around with that burner program that Sonic posted above. It looks like it is do-able. Just a matter of adding songs and keeping track of how much time the songs add up to. Once that list is done, All that is left then is to save the songs as a list, say "SongsToBurn.txt" with full paths in the text file, for instance:

    D:\mp3\artist\album\song1.mp3
    D:\mp3\artist\album\song2.mp3
    D:\mp3\artist\album\song3.mp3
    D:\mp3\artist\album\song4.mp3

Then it is just a matter of pressing a "Burn!" button, that would fire the following code to make the CD..

    Burn.exe -clear -drive d -type audio -list "C:\Program Files\Road Runner\Burn CD\SongsToBurn.txt" -burn

    A couple of notes:

The burn.exe auto converts .wav and .mp3 on the fly for making the audio CD.

The program stays completely hidden when you use the command line options.

i swear i was gonna respond to your post just like that but i wanted to check the facts first lol. it would also be easy to keep track of disc space by monitoring mp3 file size and determining .wav file based on kbps. Most of the stuff i've already managed thru autoit.. however when my drive crash so did my ratings plugin .au3's and you cant decompile with autoit anymore . Thank god for the media plugin!

That may be over complicating things, I think burning an audio CD is more based on time then on the bytes ect. You would just have to reat the track time for each one, and add it up. Keep it under 68 minutes or so and all shold be fine.
