if you are using original V1 the video panel size is 320x240 (i think) in some cams thats other then Logitech resolution will be automatically "smoothed", and if you happan to have logitech then it will be squared pixlized image. As to changing resolution V1 doesnt have support for Video Pin so you realy need to use AMCap for that.

In V2 resolution will be smootthed automatically by DS filter all streams look good and Video PIN config is alredy added. But I'm still strugling to make DS work the way i need it Maybe some one knows DirectShow better then me? There are samples in C# but I use VB and since DS is not .Net structured conversion is not working very well

quick update:I have added suport of hybernation and standby modes in V2..
Will post build version for testings soon.

ok we are getting better with V2 release.
I have aded some new features so that our V2 would look like an app more or less.

Build preview is available at the first post's download section.

New Things:
- Select Video Source
- Show properties Pin of the video device (Thats real new ;-)
- mirror
- text overlie
- list all installed codecs

It still not as good as V1 but this girl should deliver better perforamance then V1... and hopefully it works on Vista (didn't try it yet as i still didnt install vista on anything)

Next steps:

1. Add video recording
2. Add still image capturing
3. Add sendcomand interface for RR integration (need help here)

4. Add buffer recording
5. Add suport for gyro (as shock sensor)

6. Add multi camera support

7. Add object recobnition logic

8. Add GPS loging
9. Add ability to replay files and see gps coordinates at the same time on the map!
10. screw everyone and go on vocation


Any way if you see any bugs, let me know asap and we will use some raid
