it shouldn't, but you can always copy from the SIM card to the phone and then back up

Given that I'm swamped in homework, I haven't been able to continue testing with my phone.

However, why would this be that much harder with Verizon phones? New upscale cars come with a bluetooth phone option, and I haven't heard of them being unable to support Verizon phones.. Wouldn't this the same concept?

verizon cripples their phones from most bluetooth services, have you noticed that all verizon phones have the same looking menu? that is because they change the phone's firmware to their own, for example if you wanted to use the serial port on the phone to communicate with your software you might find that this service has been disabled, or if you want to tether your phone.

    Stop doing HWs

As to verizon phone I cant imagine why they would disable that function... if they do there is way around through HandsFree profile (harder to develop) but it will gurantee 100% compability with all BT phones... thats how car systems are build.

I didcided to let the guys play with the first coding draft... on the first post I have posted the pre alpha coding draft version of the engine,... it used to showw the caller id info on my dectop before my phone stoped sending the caller id data. .. so technically it should work on other comps

Once i can get my phone to work or i get new one i will add GUI so it can be usefull and afther that will go on to the audio function and compability issues

iPhone does not even have a Blutooth serial service, only headset/handsfree.

umm i did not know that about iPhones
Hands Free is essentually the same serial port profile + audio.. but it doesnt send caller ID data .... welll still iPhone has the API so in theory we can cretate the script which will get the caller id info and send it to the car by some sort of BT connection. Well I guess i will have to get an iPhone to do that... any one wanna donate one
