    Ok Guino,

    I try to remove the angles to see .

    Thanks

    anyway, the search for locations in gpsexec is just not optimized for thousands of points.. I have not tried it myself but chances are it could get slow and use significant amount of the CPU.. but if you'd like to try it, be my guest and let us know how it works..
    hey guino, yea i've been away from the forums lately but i still have 3 carputers going strong running roadrunner or riderunner now. i recently discovered http://www.trapster.com and looking for a way to integrate the database with the carputers brought me back.

    i loaded all 37,500 entries into the ini file and ran gpsexec. on a p4 2.4ghz cpu, gpsexec uses between 10% and 20% cpu and around 29mb of ram. it's a little bit of a resource hog but now riderunner gives me an audio and visual alert of the type and confidence of known speed traps within 500 yds. pretty awesome. thanks guino and good luck with your new business venture.

    here's what gpsexec does with the trapster speed trap info when i get within 500yds of a known speed trap.

    Below is a sample of my GPSExec.ini
    Code:
    GPSExec.ini
    41.6568,-71.1698,,,500,YD,"SPEEDTRAP_HIGH"
    41.6719,-71.1519,,,500,YD,"SPEEDTRAP_MEDIUM"
    35.9672,-78.5025,,,500,YD,"SPEEDTRAP_LOW"
    44.625236,-123.083181,,,500,YD,"REDLIGHTCAM_LOW"
    38.932328,-76.901614,,,500,YD,"REDLIGHTCAM_MEDIUM"
    40.88796,-74.057701,,,500,YD,"REDLIGHTCAM_HIGH"
    33.462505,-112.250251,,,500,YD,"SPEEDCAM_HIGH"
    38.938461,-79.883659,,,500,YD,"SPEEDCAM_LOW"
    34.175162,-119.221809,,,500,YD,"SPEEDCAM_MEDIUM"
    I added the following to exectbl.ini. the command lowers winamp's volume to about half, loads a 3 second visual warning, speaks an audio warning.
    Code:
    "SPEEDTRAP_LOW","MENU;WARNING.SKIN||SAY;APPROACHING SPEED TRAP - LOW CONFIDENCE||SETVOL;WINAMP;130||SETLABEL;!WARNING;SPEED TRAP||SETLABEL;!WARNING1;LOW CONFIDENCE||WAIT;3||EXIT"
    "SPEEDTRAP_MEDIUM","MENU;WARNING.SKIN||SAY;APPROACHING SPEED TRAP - MEDIUM CONFIDENCE||SETVOL;WINAMP;130||SETLABEL;!WARNING;SPEED TRAP||SETLABEL;!WARNING1;MEDIUM CONFIDENCE||WAIT;3||EXIT"
    "SPEEDTRAP_HIGH","MENU;WARNING.SKIN||SAY;APPROACHING SPEED TRAP - HIGH CONFIDENCE||SETVOL;WINAMP;130||SETLABEL;!WARNING;SPEED TRAP||SETLABEL;!WARNING1;HIGH CONFIDENCE||WAIT;3||EXIT"
    "REDLIGHTCAM_LOW","MENU;WARNING.SKIN||SAY;APPROACHING RED LIGHT CAMERA - LOW CONFIDENCE||SETVOL;WINAMP;130||SETLABEL;!WARNING;RED LIGHT CAMERA||SETLABEL;!WARNING1;LOW CONFIDENCE||WAIT;3||EXIT"
    "REDLIGHTCAM_MEDIUM","MENU;WARNING.SKIN||SAY;APPROACHING RED LIGHT CAMERA - MEDIUM CONFIDENCE||SETVOL;WINAMP;130||SETLABEL;!WARNING;RED LIGHT CAMERA||SETLABEL;!WARNING1;MEDIUM CONFIDENCE||WAIT;3||EXIT"
    "REDLIGHTCAM_HIGH","MENU;WARNING.SKIN||SAY;APPROACHING RED LIGHT CAMERA - HIGH CONFIDENCE||SETVOL;WINAMP;130||SETLABEL;!WARNING;RED LIGHT CAMERA||SETLABEL;!WARNING1;HIGH CONFIDENCE||WAIT;3||EXIT"
    "SPEEDCAM_LOW","MENU;WARNING.SKIN||SAY;APPROACHING SPEED CAMERA - LOW CONFIDENCE||SETVOL;WINAMP;130||SETLABEL;!WARNING;SPEED CAMERA||SETLABEL;!WARNING1;LOW CONFIDENCE||WAIT;3||EXIT"
    "SPEEDCAM_MEDIUM","MENU;WARNING.SKIN||SAY;APPROACHING SPEED CAMERA - MEDIUM CONFIDENCE||SETVOL;WINAMP;130||SETLABEL;!WARNING;SPEED CAMERA||SETLABEL;!WARNING1;MEDIUM CONFIDENCE||WAIT;3||EXIT"
    "SPEEDCAM_HIGH","MENU;WARNING.SKIN||SAY;APPROACHING SPEED CAMERA - HIGH CONFIDENCE||SETVOL;WINAMP;130||SETLABEL;!WARNING;SPEED CAMERA||SETLABEL;!WARNING1;HIGH CONFIDENCE||WAIT;3||EXIT"
    here is my warning.skin code
    Code:
    RoadRunner Skin
    RRScreen (800x480)"Speed Trap Warning"
    warning.jpg,warning.jpg,warning.jpg,warning.jpg

    L01,000,165,558,75,255,255,255,40,"Arial Narrow:B","!WARNING","CENTER"
    L02,000,250,558,75,255,255,255,30,"Arial Narrow:B","!WARNING1","CENTER"

    END
    below it the image warning.jpg

    Question for a little GPSExec add

    Hi Guino,

    I play and play and play again with RR and now GPSExec run very on DFX and Carwings to .

    BUT, is it possible to add two futures in GPSExec plugin ?

    - add a label for distance (metres or miles) between gps position and a poi position .
    - add a slider who give work with the first add (like songpos) .

    Thank again and again .
