sorry for the late response. didn't see the responses in this thread until today. mp3car emails go to an email account i don't often check. sonic to answer your question, i download the two trapster files for the us and copy and paste into an excel worksheet with some formulas. nothing fancy.

guino, as far as i can tell with 37 thousand entries it still works correctly. every once in a while it will execute commands for locations i'm no where close to. for example i have rr say "welcome home" when i get close to my house but i've had it say welcome home to me when i'm on the other side of town. could it be caused by my gps lock going in and out?

    Possibly...

There is no GPSValid check in the PI but maybe thats ok as RR is handling all of the GPS data interally anyway, and I'm pretty sure that seeing that guino made this, if he thought that it would have been needed, he would have added it. I could also be wrong and just something he overlooked, I for one would have added that check.

it all depends on what your GPS sends... if it doesn't have a lock and it sends the last known position, then it could happen like you said.. the ideal would be for it to send 0 lat, 0 long (middle of nowhere)..

Use Gpsexec for SpeedCam alert !

    Hi Guino,

Can you explain me how to use well the MINHDG and MAXHDG options please for us.

I leave in France and i have make a gpsexec.ini like that:

    Code:
    ;Test around Bordeaux
    44.812837,-0.555668,300,60,500,M,"RADAR_FIXE_30"
    44.814602,-0.572405,300,60,500,M,"RADAR_MOBILE_30"
    44.844612,-0.598927,300,60,500,M,"RADAR_FIXE_30"
    44.869191,-0.567771,300,60,500,M,"RADAR_MOBILE_30"
    44.872417,-0.565367,300,60,500,M,"RADAR_FIXE_30"
    44.883789,-0.560132,300,60,500,M,"RADAR_MOBILE_130"
300,60 for MINHDG and MAXHDG are good for the France or another values are better.

    Thanks for your help

Those are not location dependent. They simply tell the PI what direction you have to be going before it will fire off the cmd.

They indicate (pardon the pun) which compass heading you need to be going for the command to be activated.

There is a maximum and minimum.

eg if you are heading north you might want a range of 300 to 60 (assuming it can handle going negative)

heading south you may want 120 to 240.

    Compass = 0 to 360 degrees.

It should handle 300,60 as anything above 300 or less than 60 degrees. Ehe explanations are all correct -- for each command you should specify which direction is needed to activate the command -- or you can leave them blank for any direction.
