    Guino,

Thanks for the fast reply. Itunes supports a very robust scripting interface, and there is an embed artwork script, which i have run, it can be found here:

    http://dougscripts.com/itunes/script...hp?sp=embedart

There is also a script to save a copy of the artwork in the folder:

    http://dougscripts.com/itunes/script...p=savealbumart

Assuming both of those scripts had run, what are your thoughts?

    Thanks
    Hans

If the second script (save albumart to folder) runs, then you should have an image on the folder for the songs you're playing -- if this is the case, RR will automatically read and display that image as the album art. The only requirement is that the coverfile setting matches the extension for the files iTunes writes. So if iTunes is saving PNG files, set coverfile=*.png in RR.INI, if it saves BMP files, then set coverfile=*.bmp in RR.INI and if it saves JPG files, then set coverfile=*.JPG ... as long as a valid file is in the same folder, then RR will display it.

I'm not sure if this is the issue you're referring to, but I have been using this little script to convert itunes playlists into Winamp playlists.

could be nice if plugin was able to use itunes for mgt. of songs so we did not have to use scripts etc...

another thing to consider is that if you have got stuff from itunes its sure protected so that you need either itunes to play.. only other player i know that can play stuff from itunes are BASS

thinking of it... Why not use Itunes for both music and Video?

We really need to add iTunes to the swear filter.

You can say that again!!! iTunes is just like those people that own a huge SUV say like a hummer and only use it go 5 minutes down the street to the groc store and back. Big waste of resources

Hey, sorry to dig up a [semi] old thread. Haven't been on the forums in a while, had a question:

Say I'm controlling iTunes manually with my main screen, and have a second 'non-touchscreen' (say backseat) running RR which only displays information about the currently playing song.

    1) Will the second (backseat) screen running RR automatically update song information whenever I change a song manually on my main iTunes-only screen?

Basically I'm trying to figure out whether this plugin:
-ONLY sends commands to change the song in iTunes, and then pulls its own info about the song from the RR database.... OR
-if it actually retrieves current song info from iTunes, and updates as the song changes (whether it was changed via RR or manually via iTunes).

    Hope this makes sense. Thanks

    bump!

Does RR actually read the currently playing song info from iTunes?
    OR
Does RR only send commands to iTunes, displays the song it thinks iTunes is playing, and expects it to obey?
