nice. I like the icons..I simply used elcosmenu to load mine in th indicator section which dims the screens and loads my glow icon..I triied "RRVCON||Say;Please say a command!" But hitting button only mutes audio output so thats not gonna work..lol.. Any suggestions? I'm not sure if this is along the lines you posted ealier. maybe something like


"SAY;please say a command!||wait;2||RRVCON"

It was meant to be user configurable... I'll go back over that part again.

What I really need is a SET ACTIVESOURCE = OFF/ON command in RR.
Sort of a VR switch, to allow voice input w/out sound output. And w/out changing anything else in RR.
Currently ACTIVESOURCE is a Label...
SETSOURCE is too limited in it's scope to be usefull for this.
Mute gets outa sync.
Play/ Pause, ect don't work on every source.
SETVOL has to take into account a lot of Vars, to work properly.
SETVOLUME again Restricted for Audio Lines...

OH ya, I'll try and get something stable out this weekend, after I wake up from the LTrip nap...

As far as the Mute/Play/Pause, you just need to add a small dash of logic and grab the info first .

Example...

I dl the 1st post exe, and have been working on full rr integration. Jebus, John, Blue, and Jesse you guys are my heros.

This is the stuff RR needs to advance to the next level. RR should be the FE that sets the standard.

ha my mistake iv never updated rr since i installed an i thought id have to reinstall my bad great stuff

Ok so iv got it workin on its own and recognised all my music , but for the life of me i cant get it to integrate with dfx4 iv writin the lines on first page to the extbl in dfx and iv put the hidden butons in my menu.skin (i hope that was correct) but i cant find the buton also would i be able to use the mute buton ( as my pc is hooked in to a headunit for volume control) as the trigger, if so how would i go about doing this

**edit* ok was my bad as usual i mised out the text :/ john would it be possible to post ur code on getting it to play a wave rather then the beeps pls omg im going on and on but how would i also map it to a buton on my mouse ? iv worked out to use keytbl for keyboard shortcut but im unable to work how to get it on a mouse click ( like i have 4 butons on mouse id like one of them to be the trigger) at the moment iv mapd it to a keyboard buton but is kinda hard havin the keyboard out all the time , im a real 100% noob with all this im not dumb just inexperianced so pls gimme a chance heh

Any chance I can try out yout latest beta? Been working with Version 1.0.0.44 but cannot seem to configure commands on a skin-by-skin basis. Your older version allowed skin-by-skin command selection. Other than that, a wonderful add-on for rideRunner.

As you both know, DFX4 and RMMedia devs, Good things take time.
Let's see, it's been a year for both or close to it....

I'm working on it, many changes internally, less I/O R/W's, = faster response time. It's faster...
Unfortunately this introduced some timing issues, with RR, currently being worked out.

I am also looking at other user friendly ways to do the attention sounds, A mute/pause scheme interferes with song loads(playitem) and gets out of sync with RR on screen changes. Lowering the volume is the best scheme I have found.

All of these changes are being done to eventually create a true DLL plugin, with no external application.
