I tried the Built-In video option and it worked fine but media player classic did the same thing. Another issue, on both players (mpc and builtinvideo), when I go to load up a video, the video player skin "Play" (DFX4) shows weird characters and it will not play. However, if I just recopy the movie back it works. This has not happened before.

    Thanks Guino...

Sorry to respond so late on this..but I have MPC Home Cinema and not the MPC classic 6.4.9. I will change over to that version. It works with the built-in player fine but I will change over since MPC will work.

    Thanks for your help

I test all vdo player on xp

I use built-in its so faster can zoom can resume can play all vdo files type( must install k lite codec ) can set channal mixer, master volume vdo, Eq on ffd show audio decoder, can resize all vdo to fit screen by set ffd show video decoder can play XX.vob files ( must install Elecard.MPEG2.Decoder.and.Streaming.PlugIn.for.WMP before)

mpc I found sometimes cannot play next vdo files its issue canplay all vdo
    start not smooth
vlc I found about volume controle of its hard to controle volume its explod
but sound its good , cannot play resume, can play all vdo
    wmp good but cannot zoom
ms direct show cannot play all vdo files type so hard to load vdo

I use wmp to play dvd ( install ac3filter to config channal mixer and EQ )

In win 7 I test by built-in too its very good. Its can play all vdo files type ( must install win7codec)

I suggest to use built-in to play all vdo files type

I've switched to VLC because MPC/built-in would hang on certain files and was slow to skip files whereas VLC has been amazingly fast. Hasn't crashed... yet.

Really, all performance/playback/stability issues are related to codecs -- which VLC doesn't use.

    Hi Guino.
I use RR Native VLC videoplayer.
When I choose videoplayer skin from menu it start without problem, pointing to the specific path I had choose.
I use also a browser to select filt title, but when i click audioplayer starts to play in background.
What kind of list I can use to make selection of film title on hard disk?
When i go back to previous menu', VLC Embedded player does't stop it and continue playing on background and stop it only when i exit riderunner.
It's possible to manage VLC file selection (avi or mpg file on hard disk) like we do with winamp??
Can you give us an example of video.skin right command to use?

    thanks for your job....

It seems like you should look into the VLC plugin made by lambospirit. I'm not quite sure what exactly you're trying to do but his plugin is more flexible in some aspects. The Video Support in RR is limited to Video_player.skin and Video_browser.skin -- if you use any other screen then I can't make any guarantees, but it may be possible to make it work..

I have trouble with getting VLC to work on RR.
Do I have to modify the RR.ini file as shown in the first post of this thread?
I just set it up through RR configuration application and didn't do anything to the RR.ini file. I am very new to RR, do I have to mess with the RR.ini file everytime I set up something new?
