    Installing plugins...understaning the .ini's ect.

Is there anyone tutorial for installing plug-ins into RR?
I realize some have installers, but still some manual text has to be written to various files. I'm lost!

I could use some help with this and assigning 'buttons' into the RR menu system as well. All very complicated to me...

    Much appreciated!

How long is a piece of string?

Different plugin authors have different ways of doing things, so there is no easy answer to this.

Each plugin should come with instructions on installing it and what if any ini files that need editing.

However assigning buttons is very skin dependant (although there is a new RR specific way of doing this but both skin and plugin needs to support this)

None of my plugins seem to have instructions...
Phidgets, Vehicle Maintenance, TPMS, RRFuel Prices...
    Ugh!

I can't speak for the others,

but RRFuelPrices certainly does have instructions, plus there should be no need to edit any ini files (except for the adding a button in skins. The instructions explains how to do it in carwings) as all the settings are done within RR.

Brand new to the Carpc thing, so I apologize for beating this dead horse of a question with my ignorance.

I've installed Ride Runner and I wanted to try to install some plugins to get an understanding of functionality. The two plugins I downloaded (RRFuelPrices, RRPandora) from the appmart came with Install files that created subfolders in my Plugins folder. Now both of them are listed in the Carwings Plugin manager, but I can't seem to figure out how to add buttons. The RRFuelPrices User Manual says that in order to add buttons I need to add commands to the ExecTBL in three places "SetAppLabels", "MyApp X" and "SetCommandLabels X", except that I can't seem to find these lines or ones similar in either the exectbl (there is one in ...\My Documents\RideRunner\Config and in the carwings skin folder).

Do I need to add these lines completely myself or am I looking in the wrong place? Thank you all in advance for your help. Hopefully, I can quickly get past the idiot phase and start contributing.

The RRFuelprices instructions are now out of date if you are using the latest RR.

You should be able to just hold down a menu button and then get a list of available plugins/functions to add to that button.

    Not sure about Pandora though.

Awesome! Thanks! This seems to work with every plugin I've downloaded so far. Now I just need to figure out how to add more pages of buttons, because I get the feeling I'm going to run out of space.
