I have been able to build a dymamic grammar file based off the playlist that RR maintains. I find that it maybe easier to handle this in RR as the playlist will change and that I can rebuild the grammar file as RR rebuilds its lists and can reference the RR playlist by index number from the grammar file. Now I need to find a way to use it without having to say the whole name. I find the names that begin with numbers are not easy for it to recognize, I may have to strip leading numbers.

But maybe a static file is not a bad idea...

Hopefully VB6 as I have had a lot more success with this in the past than VB.NET.

    Anyone?

I will also look at using dynamic grammar, we might be able to load playlists dynamically.

No it is multiline just for some reason I can only put carriage returns in design mode.

    select/play song by title

Well, this may work out to be a nice addition. I have the grammar building from the current RR playlist. I am able to call up and play the song by title! But... it has to be the complete song name, I would like it to make the selection by the closest match.

I think we are very close on this one...I need to let my head cool down now. This has been an interesting challenge, I am learning some new ground.

    Thanks for the challenge

How narrow minded of me, there are more languages than American English

There is a GRAMMAR LANGID= in the top of the grammar files, I think off the top of my head 809 is English and 409 is American English, I will look into other ones.

I am having fun with the all the possibilities

With the new version, when I give the system a command, it doesn't come out of pause unless I tell it to. Other than that, it seems to work great.

    For Phoco users...

One suggestion only for us Phoco Users...

When a call is incoming the mic should go OFF (in NON Listening mode) to restore the right mic settings and avoid any interference with voice recognition... and then return ON (in Listening Mode) when the call is finished to permit the normal Voice recognition...

I'm guessing that like RR, this is done by comaparing the spoken word to the filename and not the id3 tags? if so, to clarify the selection you could require at least two words spoken to find in order to return a match. that way, all you would have to do is make sure your filenames have the artist and title and say one word in the artist name and one in the song title - this should solve most if not almost all conflicts with other files.

    Ex I say "Jackson" "mirror"

Michael Jackson - man in the mirror.mp3 is returned....
Its not the cards you're dealt, its how you play the hand!
