I did address this once, I have to look to see if it is in one of the latest releases or the current one I am working on.

Let me know if that helps
Yes, i know the F10 and i had thought that but i dont wont disable the mic because i need to use phoco, so i need a command to enable / disable the speech engine.

I have already placed a button on my skin for this.....

    Thanx whoodwho for your reply

If you go into the speech properties in Control Panel do you see the microphone level moving without the mic hooked up? have you gone thru the microphone wizard to adjust the volume? I can only think that the gain is to high or something.

How can I use my scroll wheel for the hotkey. what I want to do is since I can push down on the scroll wheel I want that action to be my hot key. Currently it is used for pagin up and down with mouse movements rather than rolling the wheel.
    Any ideas?

Depends on the flexibility of the driver and if it will allow you to assign it to a different function. See if your driver has the ability and I am sure we can try something.

Couldnt find anything in my mouse setup.
What I am trying to do is use the hotkey option but I dont want to have to use the keyboard. My keyboard is small but I want to be able to install a single button in my dash or use the mouse some how (since I use the mouse quite a bit).
Using the f-10 key from the keyboard is kind of akward (spelling). I thought about using a keypad but I am very limited on function keys, in fact I have none on it.
I love this voice control software but outside noise seems to be interfering with the software. IT is constantly mistaking out side noise for my keyword to listen. I have done all the mic wizards and training so that is not the issue.
Any other ideas to get my idea working would be greatly appreciated.

    That would work.
Immediately after posting this it dawned on me that I could simply put a momentary on switch on the microphone. This should work for me for now.
But the switch on the serial port would be pretty cool to.
