its already embedded into road runner now? did you have somethin else that needed to be added?
ok, i have searched this thread, and i lvoe the idea but i have a question. im going to incorporate a powermate in my car pc install. is there a way that i can set up the powermate for a single activation of the voice command? ex: push the powermate knob down, and have the music paused so i can make a command? also, will the command cancel once its executed? or will the mic continue to stay on? only a simple answer will suffice for now, since my powermate hasnt arrived, and my car pc is still a fairytale...

with girder you can do this fairly easy. Just set that even to trigger the f10 key (or whatever key you wanna make your hot key). After you have made your command music resumes.Originally Posted by redls1bird
Quick question...is there an RR command to reenable the voice control after one tells it "go away" or "stop listening"?
In a system I'm developing, there isn't a mouse or a touch screen, so the user cannot press the Enable button on the voice control window.
Just wondering if anyone's nutted this voice thing out. I've installed it with RR and sure it works, the voice releatin all the time makes me feel like i'm talking to Rainman.. I say pause.. It says pause, pause, pause.. ok.. I feel like i'm talking to a retard.. I keep having to tell it to shut up.. hehe.. Anyway Anyone else got any ideas how to make this more perfected. I'm in a quiet room, I'd hate to see what it runs like while i'm driving in the car.

Hope not and I'm not, let me know if there are any mod requests. I did have some additions I was going to post but had a catastrauphic hard drive failure and lost those changes as I hadn't backed those up yet.Originally Posted by Civic03
I have not looked into the Powermate so I don't know it's IO options. I did work on a serial option but lost those in a drive failure. Let me know if the Girder suggestion wont work and we can look into it further.Originally Posted by redls1bird
