Thread: Integrated voice control in RR...

Anyone know how/where to get new voices?

I've been looking at the AT&T Natural Voices and they sound pretty good. Is there a way to get these (or something similar) compatible with the Microsoft SDK Speech recognition?

If so, how/where would I install them?

Hey all...I got the voice control setup and working pretty well but I have my Sirius connected to my Line in and when I go to issue a command the voice control software doesn't mute the line in like it does with audio mode. Do I have to change the mastervol setting the rr.ini or is there something else I can do ?

UPDATE:
I acquired the AT&T Natural Voice Crystal and installed it then selected it in the Speech setup and it works great and sounds SO much better. I then used autohotkey to detect if the Line Volume indicator is on and if it's not I just send F10 key, just so the MIC isn't on all the time, then I used the PS3 wireless keyboard I read about in another post and bound it to a key. Now I'm just adding commands and it's working out great and sounds great!

Hi.
I love your job. But this is my issue that hawe forsed me to stop using it (dissabled it from starting) as i actually cant hawe it on. It does random kommands when i play music or talk to friends in the car. Al is media related commands that i can not find i the list. The most common is "play first" or "playlist first" i think the command is. So i serarch the forums after info. Then i se the post i am replying to here. But i hawe in the "Voice.ini" file te line "allowMediaCmds=False" so then it should not do this? newest version i am able to find is "test_Version_05-25"

besides this issue. its werry fun playing with it and showing of to friends They all get impressed when i tell the pc to start playing a dvd in the back for later bringing up the navigation system in the front. And give it some vocabulary so i can give an ipression of talking "with" the computer. And they all smiles when i say thank you and it replay with some nice vords back

Edit:I want it to only listen for keyword. Not do things like this without giving the keyword first (Ands sorry for lousy english from my side).

This software works awesome. I am having a problem though, when on my desktop everything works great, but in the car with the same settings the following happens:

with out road runner open the mic works fine and i can hear my self talk into it, but when road runner opens it mutes the mic so i cannot call out commands.

any idea if this is a simple setting in the rr.ini?

Have a look in rrconfig to see what your setting for 'Map Master Volume to Control Linefor weak sound cards) is set to. Should be just Master and not all.

If you use PhoCo. I would check that one to. As there is a "mute mic" settings in it.

Thanks Enforcer and Niob, I messed with it some more and got it to work. I think it had something to do with my audigy card and its software getting confused. I had also installed office 2003 to use 6.1 instead of the SDK, not sure if that fixed the issue...

The only thing im having trouble with is iGuidance. When I go to the GPS screen and call out say "Zoom out" it repeats it back but the screen flashes real quick and the command doesn't work. I am using IG 3.0 with the newest version of DigitalFX.

Also when im at the GPS screen and want to call out for address do i just say address or do I have to say iguidance > destination > address?

It doesn't play a .wav file. But it should respond on triggerword. Mine does. The code in "voice.ini" for this looks like this...

Edit: Or did you think about after you mut/un-mute mic by button? If so. I dont know howto or if possible at this time
