Voice control is integrated within RR, you shoudn't need any of those files. (maybe the list of commands might be useful though)
I upgraded and even Downloaded the latest version of RR and all I got were errors. All errors went away after I copied the files in the first post into the RR directory.
Another question, which microphone do you guys recommend for usage? I bought a bluetooth one, but it seems to keep getting disconnected all the time. Also, when music is playing, you cannot say the keyword because the music interrupts it. How can I use one of my steering wheel buttons to become the hotkey?
The easiest way is to mute the music, or lower the volume...
Because it might be a bit tricky to hack the system and send a signal from the wheel's buttons to CarPC...
Hi, I got an issue with the voice control...
When I say "playlist last", the voice control recognizes it as a command going to winamp, and it automatically switches to last song in the list. This might seem like a minor issue but every time I say "play" it doesnt recognize the command, and thinks it is the "playlist last" command. Also, this playlist last command does not require a keyword, and I want to find out how to turn it off.
Thanks a lot,
Stefan
I think voicecontrol is just too prematured for the incar environment. You would have to have a quiet car and interior. With kids and family inside, it's impossible. Also, most of the time the commands don't work and you get frustrated and look at the screen trying to see if it worked. Using the touchscreen is just better for this.
My friend has OEM nav and voicecontrol in his MDX and states that he rarely uses it for these same reasons.
Voice control is just for making your friends/girlfriends say "WOW!!!"
For example,
edit the commands file and make it so that when you say "Computer, say hello to my friend Steve", the computer's response to be "Hello Steve, nice to meet you! How old are you?" lol
And complete that list with all of your friends names...!
Or, when you say "computer" the response to be "Ready for duty sir!!!" lol
I realize that the program is not yet mature...
But still, the command "playlist last" is not in the XML file (or the compiled cfg file for that reason)...
where could it be?
Thanks,
Stefan
