Is the carpc using a stripped down version of XP?
I'm also getting that on my CarPC...

No. Normal (Full) WinXP installation...
Using RR of 30/9/2007 and RRConfig 1.0.0.8
Well my guess is one of the dependancies is missing.
Check the thread to see what DLLs or OCX's are required and check they are a)on your system and b)registered.
Ok, i'll double check everything tomorrow morning.
But it's a mystery why it run on my laptop by just copying the new files and setting-up RRConfig to use Voice...

Could be that on the laptop you have installed something else that just happened to install the file that is not on your car pc that voice control needs.
OK I fixed it!
1)I installed MS Recognition 6.1 from office 2003
2)Copied (and replaced) all the files from the "first" edition of voice control
3)Copied (and replaced) all these "old" files with the latest ones
And it worked...
