    I would like to be able to to ask "where are we" and the computer tell me where I'm at. I know other parts of RR (gas prices, weather) can get the zip code from the GPS and use it. I am fairly confident if I knew what I was doing I could make a script to run when this question is asked that would get the zip code, look up the city for it, and respond back with the city name for the answer. The major hurdle here is the fact that I have no clue of how to accomplish this.
    maybe this has already been done by someone?
    if not, is there anybody out there that knows how to do this and can help me?

    I've spent a good hour training my profile..(in control panel-speech-train profile), but it hasn't done any good, tried three different mics (one of them is fairly good quality too), and fiddled with mic gain and volume.. all I can get it to recognize is "computer" and sometimes "time" and "date".....I don't think I mumble that bad right now I just want it to recognize the "you are a dumb****" command...
    Try using this microphone

    It works great for me
    Also instead of keywords use the hotkey option instead. Set the keyword delay to 4 seconds and the paus timer to 4 seconds as well.
    Also dont have it read window messages.
    I have done no training what so ever and it is pretty accurate. The key is to only let it listen when you want it to, have a good directional microphone and have the music paused when saying a command.

    a couple of guys have asked this already in earlier posts in this thread, but there were no answers...thought i'd check again and see if a solution is available.

    So far i only use the voice control to execute basic commands i.e. play, play next, master volume up/down, navigation, main menu.........and it works decent.

    But every now and then it will pick up the KEYWORD "computer" while a song is playing because it heard something similiar (i can live with this...hopefully i can fix this by doing more speech sessions or changing the keyword...BUT sometimes it will say "playlist" or "now playing first" or something to that affect without acknowledging a keyword...its very annoying as on a drive to work, it may happen 20 times and i am damn tired of that first song.

    Without requiring a 'hotkey' button or eliminating the keyword or turning the mic off, is there a way to fix this in the voice control program yet???

    Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!

    Hi,

    Can anyone tell me how to get a hotkey mic on comand for voice control when the comand is in another program?
    For example, when I press a button on my steering wheel, IBUSSCOM sends a message to RR, things like Vol up and Vol down.

    Example:

    General Plugin Setting
    ;
    ; ComPort: COM port number. Valid range: 1 to 10 (Required)
    ; FrontEndName: Front End Window name. If none is specified then "RoadRunner" will be used.
    ; InterMsgDelay: Time between 2 IBus messages in miliseconds. Usually set to 10-30 depending on your computer. (Required)
    ; HoldRepeatDelay: Time between 2 RoadRunner Commands when holding next/prev button (if REPEAT_HOLD_CMD=1)
    ; SyncTime: Option to set IKE time with the PC Clock each time iBusRR is started. Default is 0
    ; SetGamma: Option to send NIGHTGAMMA to RR when the lights are turned on and DAYGAMMA when they're turned off
    ; ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    [Settings]

    ComPort=1
    FrontEndName="RoadRunner"
    InterMsgDelay=31
    HoldRepeatDelay=500
    SyncTime=1
    SetGamma=1

    I am interested in this as well. Just got IbusRR working and would like to use the "Phone" button on my steering wheel to activate voice input without a keyword. Either have it only listen when the button is held down or by pressing the button once, they software goes into listening mode (as if you just said a keyword). If that makes sense at all.
    For example, when I press the Phone button, iBusRR send the following command to Road Runner:
    PHONE_PRES="!SWITCHSCREENS!"
    I can just this to whatever I want. What do I need to change it to so that the computer listens for a command?

    There's a hot key.. i think it's either f11 or f10 to activate voice ready. That key can be mapped to whatever button on a skin, which means you can map that key to your phone button on your steering wheel as well.. read the thread about first 10 pages.. They talk about it i think...

    Thanks, I will look into it. Basically I just need RR to send the F10 keypress when it receives that message, shouldn't be too difficult. Now to run a mic cable to front of the car (along with another USB cable). Wish I would have seen this earlier, when I was first running wires for my car PC, lol.

    I love this program! After following the instructions in post 264 I got it working with iGuidance 2009. However it seems this version of iGuidance has changed keyboard commands making it impossible to navigate into "Address, or favorites". The arrow keys have been reassigned making it impossible to navigate within the menus now.

    Does anyone have any tips on what to do now?
