Is the updated copy in the link on the first post of this thread, or the link you PM'd some of us at the begining?Originally Posted by whodwho

Thank you for updating themOriginally Posted by Gobby
The Recent updates:
* commented out the "bless you" and "excuse you" was fun but annoying if getting false recognition
* added a hotkey to use as the keyword - currently is F10 but will try to get that in the ini
* added to the suspend and resume functions so it will be active on resumes
* fixed it where on starup you had it set for continuous and would still wait for first keyword to switch
* added MapPoint commands
Current efforts:
* Dictation - free speech recognition for quick notes and textboxes
* iGuidance commands - PM me if you currently need, I could use the testers
I finally got to play with the new version and it's working great... except I have a bug and a usability issue to report.
1. is in Mappoint when you use a commant like "Master Volume Up" it causes the menu window to pop up and then it won't go away. Same thing happens if you use the hotkey (on my steering wheel through the iBus) to turn the mic on or off. I think this might be a skin issue though.
2. is the command "Master Volume Up" When you say this, just like with every other command, it pauses for 5 seconds before it starts to play music again. Again, I have steering wheel controls so it's not a big deal to me, but for those that don't this could be very annoying. Would it be possible to program pause times with each individual command? I know this would make the Commands.xml file much more complex, but the usability would be greatly improved.
Thanks for the great app

1. I don't seem to be able to reproduce this, I used the default skin with MapPoint up and saying "master volume up" and am not seeing a menu, which skin are you using or can you try the default skin if you still have it.Originally Posted by Mattkins99
2. I'm not sure I understand this one, how would this differ from having a hard control versus voice? I believe it should be possible but will have to look into it, I know for sure by group, just not sure by command.
The great app is Road Runner and all that have contributed to it! I just added a module to it...hoping I am adding a contribution to it.
For #1, I'm using the BMV default skin. I can reproduce the issue every time... Ignore the part I mentioned about the button with iBus... that's an unrelated issue that just has the same symptom.
With #2, I'm just saying there are some commands you don’t want a pause for. I mean, when I change the volume using a button, it's instant. If I increase the volume with my voice, I think it would just be annoying that it pauses for 5 seconds before lowering the volume and resuming the music. It's just a suggestion... it doesn't bother me, but I'm just thinking of others. (Sorry, I go through usability scenarios at work a lot...)
Oh yes, and Road Runner does rule. You just made it rule even more![]()

That is what I was waiting for. My EPIAV cannot handle the resource issues imposed on it by Navivoice so I will try this now. Thanks!Originally Posted by rjoek

When I turn the mic off from VC window, and press F10 to listen for keyword, I get this error.
The reason I'd like to use it this way, is that with the music at high volume, it gets false commands...
You know...I was hashing this over today.
There are a couple ways to go about it:
hotkey to activate commands without keyword - currently this way I believe
hotkey to toggle the mic hot
or both
I'm thinking In the config file turn mic off, when you hit the key it would bring the mic hot and activate the command set set
but would the hotkey be a toggle or rely on the timer? Or should this be a configuration option?
How do the hotkey people see this working?
Thanks for finding the bug
All is good, just found one error though. was in the Find Gas command. Here is corrected code:
The error was after the second SENDKEY, it had 4 downs which goes to the coord instead of POI.Code:<P VALSTR="ACTIVATE;iGuidance||SENDKEY;%f{DOWN}{DOWN}{ENTER}||SENDKEY;{ENTER}{ENTER}{DOWN}{DOWN}{DOWN}{ENTER}{UP}{UP}{ENTER}{DOWN}{DOWN}{DOWN}{DOWN}{ENTER}{DOWN}{ENTER}||GETFOCUS">find gas</P>
Also i dont think the ||SENDKEY;%f{DOWN}{DOWN}{ENTER} is neccesary. It auto cancels route if you start a new one.
Just flame me if I'm wrong. I had been playing with the code alot since I have the Modded IGUIDANCE.exe the keystrokes are a bit different.
