iGMon - Solution for integration between iGuidance and Road Runner (I hope)

Oh wow, big thanks you guys! I had absolutely no clue iGuidance was that customizeable.. looks like iGuidance + iGMon is the solution for me... no more wishing that we could embed Copilot into frontends.

Just downloaded the update and will check it out. Had some problems getting autozoom to work before. I'd like to create a button that will hide/show my custom poi's. Can you give me any hints on how to do this? I could do it with a button from my RR skin but I'd prefer having it as one of the OSD buttons in igmon.

Ok b8bboi, this one is for you and whoever else may want it.. I promised to make you that ActiveX/COM object to read/parse the GPS.. (sorry took so long)... here it is: GPSServ (attached).. I'll also make the next version of RR read from this same object (if/when available) so it can also pull GPS info when it's got the port already opened. There's a good readme and a client example in the Zip. Source code available upon request. Let me know if you need anything else added/changed.

i did try the first release,and it did work really good for me,i even did a skin for it,my question is,if anybody else is having problems with the 2.0 release,the issues that i'm having is that the "sendmsg" is not working almost at all.using the first beta it does work.with the 2.0 it dosnt.i even use the wizard to setup the settings for igmon,am i doing something wrong?

note:i did some mods to the iguidance.exe using justintime's button's

Now, this is probably a stupid question, but I'm going to ask it anyway....how do I make iGmon start with iGuidance? It's kind of annoying to click on navigation then have to minimize RR and start iGmon.

I can certainly add that for you. Autozoom still doesn't work consistently yet. I'll concentrate on that in the next version.

That's weird. I'll double check that.

One of the features of IGMON is:

Automatic switching Road Runner to the GPS screen (from any screen) when the Guidance screen comes on (ie. when you're about to make a turn) and switching back when done.

Can anybody tell me how can I change the screen that is launched when automatic switching happens? I have modified the external_GPS.skin that launch mm_on.jpg and mm_off.jpg to the GPS screen of Llody simplistique skin but I have got and error.

Any help. Thanks

what would be nice if you can get the recent and favorites menus to be larger.

I think most of us have simply put the IGMon.exe or a shortcut to IGMon.exe in the Windows startup folder. That way IGMon is started whenever the computer reboots and is already running when IG needs it.
