    Does this work with Speedfan for CPU temp etc? How do you get the data to be read?

    GREAT JOB btw!

    If just reads the temp label data from Road Runner, configured in RRConfig. You may be able to get them to read other stuff with Road Runners variables but guino or one of the more experienced skin guys here would know more about that than me.

    Help

    This is grate

    But I use feet in the altitude gauge

    I changed this for ft
    gpsalt="271 ft
    tmpstr.slice(0,length(tmpstr) - 3)

    I changed this to scale it up
    alt_tmp = alt_tmp plus 300;
    alt_tmp = alt_tmp /3;

    But I need some way to round it out – I think

    Any help would help

    Here is my file I am working on

    Swishmax has a rounding function, I think this is how you use it but I didn’t test

    Math.round(alt_tmp)

    So if alt_tmp = 375.543
    The function will strip the .543 off

    Is that what you wanted?

    What kind of cpu usage are you guys getting with a full screen of gauges?

    I've got speedo, alt, cpu, compass, sat strength in a CFX skin and get about 45-50% usage on a 850mhz laptop, SP2.

    Thanks for the great gauges!!!!

    Mine is only a Celeron 1.1 at the moment & gets around 55-65% with 5-6 gauges.

    I have 3 gauges at 300 x 300 and it would stop RR from running in its tracks as soon as I opened the skin – too high cpu

    So I just set the frame rate from 15 fps to 2 fps and now it only runs the cpu up to 28

    After all RR only updates the info 1 time a second so why have 15 fps if you don’t need it

    550 mhz cpu

    Ok this is looking better everyday, now for a big question..........

    Can these gauges read their data from an external sensor, IE a pic on a comport ?

    I started writing some pic code for a pic to read digital/analog values and spit them back serial, now I can either have them spit back every second, on on a request, and they can be stacked to create more inputs.....

    So, its nearly all the way to a digital dash.......

    Imagine the skin above with engine temp, oil pressure, rpm etc
    .
    format of the data would be

    Pic would be polled with (MPS_AR) for board 'A' or (MPS_BR) if it was board 'B' (26 boards possible)

    'MPS_A_snsr01'+chr(0-255 analog value)CRLF
    'MPS_A_snsr02'+chr(0-255 analog value)CRLF
    'MPS_A_snsr03'+chr(0-255 analog value)CRLF
    'MPS_A_snsr04'+chr(0-255 analog value)CRLF

    OR if you wanted to read digital inputs
