Okay, I have the Flash guages on my Menu skin of CFX. I'm using Chuck's guages. The Speedo works, the Altitude and Compass don't.
Here's the entry for my flash and dynamic labels;
/, F, x, y, w, h, Movie name
F03,550,195,238,210,"speedo.swf"
F01,380,196,166,128,"altitude.swf"
F02,147,195,229,210,"compass.swf"
/, L, x, y, w, h, color R;RGB, G, B, font size;FONT, font name, Code;LABELCODES, Tooltip;LABELALIGNMENT
L14,0,0,30,10,,,,8,"Arial","compass",
L15,0,0,30,10,,,,8,"Arial","altitude",
L16,0,0,30,10,,,,8,"Arial","speedo",
I've tried as above setting shows, the Height/Width for text size and adding unique numbering entries for the flash and dynamic labels.
What am I missing??

Thanks Chuck, My bad. I thought the dynamic labels had to be the same as the Flash files. Especially when the SPEEDO worked and that was the first one I tried??Originally Posted by Chuck

I haven't got a chance to try these gauges out myself, but I got a question of those that are using them.
Do the needles on the guages jump from one position to the next or do they sweep across?
Of all the gauges that I've used they all jump around. So if you accelerating fast and your first update was at 15mph and the next was at like 25mph, the needle jumps from 15 to 25, its the same with the digital readouts. If the needle actually swept across from 15 to 25 it would give it a more natural feel. All so, same with the numbers, if it went through all the number, 15, 16, 17,....,25 really fast then it would be awesome.

Hello Happpyg,
I have done some work on your clocks for my skin, and want to release it for general use. Are you ok, if I include them in my download. I have changed them only slightly, frame rate, speedo (if only I could do 180 mph !) and cputemp to use speedfan. I can forward a copy of the changes if you want.
I won't release though until you give me the go ahead.
A great job on these. They don't half eat my poor little MII 1ghz though ! Reducing the frame rate gets me to around 80-100% usage now instead of 100-100% usage.
I look forward to your reply
cheers

No problems at all, I have changed mine back to 2 FPS as well & updated my download and get much better CPU Usage, also made transparent versions too (like chucks). I think the clock ones were done by chuck and some others have their own mods too which all look great, but feel free to use mine in any way you wish.Originally Posted by kpjuk

Thanks Happpyg,
Quattro, you need to try them out. I run mine on an MII and yes they jump, but this is because I have set the frame rate to 2 frames per second, so the updates only happen every half a second. Depending on what you are driving you may or may not have a problem. My MII runs pretty close to 100% full time with 5 clocks on 1 screen, so I can't tell if the jumps are due to lack of cpu cycles, or anything else. The data from the GPS only comes in every second anyway, so if you are accelerating hard in a fast car, you are always going to get a jumpy effect.
Hope this helps

Hi happyg, is your download link in the first posting updated with the 2fps version?
