Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I have been using Flash for quite a while and I have not come across a .swi file!? I downloaded the zip from the original post that contained the source files (.fla?) but it contained only .swf and .swi files.
Go on, 10 points to the first person who can point out the obvious.
Semperon 3200+/512MB/ Seagate SATA2 120GB
10.2" Xenarc/ Netgear USB Wireless
BU-353 GPS Receiver
Any chance to get source of clock gauge?
What ist the name of the labels for the temps?
I use SpeedFAN an use in the exectbl.ini "SETVARBYCODE;TEMP1;SFT0" and "SETVARBYCODE;TEMP2;SFT1" with no sucsess.
Any hints? These gauges are nice for my skin.
Hey guys -
This is my very first foray into flash. I grabbed a few of these sources and pulled them into swishmax and started hacking away. Unfortunately, when I pull one in, save it as an .swf and play it, it takes the first reading from RR variable data and then stops -- how do I tell the script to keep listening for changes to _root variables? Is there a special event handler for changes to variables? A property I need to set on the movie itself perhaps?
OK, I was being dumb; guess that's what happens looking at something new late at night...
For anyone else with the same dumb question, the answer is this -- the movie keeps playing and keeps reloading the frame; every time it reloads the frame, it checks the value of the RR variable (GPSHDG) and sets that as the next frame.
Hey all -
In case anyone is interested, I modified the compass that was originally posted as follows:
- Locked satellites, altitude and heading all shown on compass face
- direction change motion occurs smoothly over 1s
- look and feel changed to fit my skins. You can see what they look like at my worklog
Sources and compiled swfs are attached. Thanks a ton to the OP!
All I can say is wow.
