I managed to get it running in a window which works somewhat independently of RR. With IG2.1.3 it was nested inside the window of RR so that it wouldn't spill out. Now, everytime I go back to the External GPS page in RR, it tries to load up another instance of IG although one is already running. Of course the COM port is already being used by the already running copy of IG, so the new instance of IG doesn't work. This forces me to close the new IG window everytime. It's quite annoying when you're driving to constantly have to close the second IG window that opens. Did I do something wrong? I don't remember this problem with the old IG. Seems like it's just launching multiple copies of the same IG3.EXE made from AutoIT.
Thanks again!!!!!!!
think you missed something. go back and check everything. If it still does it, post what you did.

I did precisely what the instructions said.Originally Posted by john1701

Also, I'm using the UMPC version, not the regular version.
Well, if I tell RR to run IG3.exe instead of Skinbedder.exe, it seems to work inside the window properly.
This begs the question, why is skinbedder even necessary then?
i was planing to use skingedder to get iG3 work and look more car friendly, but i feel like,it is cain good the layout and menus, all i did is use skinbedder to avoid seeing the window toolbar, and then just change the graphics of the menus, also i did discover that you can add or remove buttons in the menus, this way you can customize them.any ways if someone wants to take a look to some shots go here.
night skin wmp11 1st idea,good or bad??

skinbedder keeps you from seeing the menu bars. It sounds like your problem is that you still have the window name as "iguidance" in rr. Change it to skinbedder and have it launch the skinbedder exe and it should embed properly.
no offense to anyone, this is a guide, not a step by step installation. I will not spoonfeed. donde beat me to what I think your problem is... and el camino explains why skinbedder is used.
