Modifying Iguidance 3.0

im kind of new to this and dont flame me on here but how do you get your icons to show up on your maps? like hospitals,gas stations, restaurants. My Iguidance 3.0 just shows the road and street and avenue thats all it shows. is there away to show the icon without putting find destination. I cant even seen icons when i put a destination for mcdonalds. another is, is there a way to make the font size more bolder and bigger for the streets and avenues? cuz its really hard to see the little small font some times. Thanks Again

I'm going to help you out before you do get flamed. You must of just missed this option some how. In iguidance enter the menu then click on settings then display options. You'll see POI icons. click on the custom button. As for making the fonts bigger did you install the UMPC version? The fonts should be plenty big if not search this site for "theme.ini"

Great thread. Just installed V3 and I REALLY like the UMPC version for my Xenarc. I had a theme.ini for v2 but I just renamed it and v3 looks pretty good on its own. But I have a couple of questions:

1. When I first started playing with v3, the streets looked like the screenshots above (with light colors and a darker edge). Now for some reason I screwed it up and I just get thick dark lines for the streets. What could I have done wrong?

2. I'm using skinbedder to get rid of the menu bar and I'm not using iGmon anymore since the menus are big enough. But now what is the best way to control IG from my skin? For example, I'd like to put a button on the skin that would hide/show POIs or cancel the route.

i am using skinbedder v2 to use with RR. Config RR for external gps and point it to skinbedder.

the white arrow is for if there is no GPS receiver connected....

there are already threads where ppl are posting complete mods of ig3, I just did this to help other ppl get started on modding ig3.

FYI,

If all you want to do is remove IG borders and top menu bar, just install this version of RR HERE(post 126), it has native support of IG now...no other apps are needed to remove those borders and menus on the top..hopefully Guino will make it a "official" release
