Sounds very good!
Could also be used to copy favourite tracks to another local folder - creating a playlist.. kinda..
if that makes an sense... lol
EDIT
New Version Released
-Got Rid of the config utility and simplified the transfer process (see readme)
-Added optional verbal confirmation
EDIT
New Version Released
-Modified the program to use RR's COM interface. This means no more fixed drive paths
so i was driving in my car this morning and a set of 3 songs i love came on back to back to back. Old favorites! I got to work and wanted to listen to them on my work pc that has no music on it. I opened my computer and transfered them via copy paste, but it got me thinkin of whippin up a script that would do this for me. I've got it done.. and pretty easily via autoitand a winamp plugin. I added a button on my rr audio player skin that executes the program. The program in itself reads whatever file is currently playin in winamp (via the plugin) then sends that file to the destination folder (my removable media). Its working just fine for me right now, but i started to wonder if anyone would find this useful. If so, i'll create an .ini for the program that will read source and destination mumbo jumbo and could also make it so the mp3 would be sent directly to a networked pc or ftp. If anyones interested, let me know. If not... hey more goodies for me
EDIT
New Version 1.5Download here
http://www.sonicxtacy.com/mp3copysetup.rar
1.1 Only changes are the config utility now preloads data from rr.ini so that you dont have to redo EVERY setting each time you run config
1.2 Everything 1.1 had PLUS new on the fly mode. Allows you to choose whether your copying file or album without going to the config if you so choose. A box pops up where you can select file or album. Overwrite existing files after you back up the .ini settings.
1.3 Fixes the rr.exe name conversion. I also added a sub-program called mp3copier. Its basic purpose is to hold your file in queue should your flash drive not be in the computer when you run mp3copy. Mp3copier installs itsself in your startup folder so that should you reboot before flash drive becomes available the queue is still held. Once the flash drive is inserted mp3copier will move the file(s), close, and remove itself from the startup folder.

yes thats true. I've just enhanced it a bit with confirmations. If the files transferred successfully it will pop up a skin in rr saying so. If not, pops up a skin sayin there's a problem and what the problem is. Skins go away in a few secons using the TMR event.

This sounds cool.
Just a suggestion though: Can you be given the choice to transfer just the song or the whole folder that the song is contained in? This would be handy for when you are listening to an album and want to take it with you when you get out of the car.

that sounds acheivable however i'll have to look to see if the plugin will give me only folder information rather than the file name and path. I've just made it so i can send the songs via bluetooth to my mp3 cell phone. I'm cleanin up some bugs i know are there and will release something soon.

ok plugin does not give folder information. It was built to show only what song winamp is currently playing. So in order to figure out how to get the entire song i'll have to come up with somethin that will read the output of the plugin and delete every character up to the last "\". That might be tricky but i'll figure somethin out hopefully

strtok()? The other way is to iterate the string. As you iterate the string, save the position of the most recent '\' found. Quit when you get to the end of the string. Now you will have the position of the final '\'. You can either copy the substring out or just replace the '\' with a null.Originally Posted by Sonicxtacy02
just use the StringInStr command, like so and it will search form right to left, that way you can find the last/first "\".
$var=StringInStr ( data form plugin, "\" ,"", -1) <-- gives you the location of the "\"
Stringleft(data from plugin,$var) <-- gives you the folder with the trailing "\" or use $var-1 w/o trailing "\"
Thats how I would do it...
