works with yahoo plus mail (regular yahoo mail requires plus to access pop3)
cant get it to work with gmail, i think because gmail requires SSL (port 995)
hotmail/windows live mail etc only uses HTTP mail

not sure of any other mail providers.

There's no limitation or even relation as to what label codes flash can read -- if it displays in the screen, then you should be able to poll it from flash as well. However, I am unsure of the effects of the character _ in the label code. I would try getting info from a label with _ from another plugin to see if that works right, then re-do the testing on this one.

This is awesome... but I do have two requests if possible...
Is it possible to add in the SSL support for the likes of Gmail, etc? and/or is it possible to get an indicator that just shows the count of new emails, not the total email count?

    Thanks

I looked at adding SSL support, but I suck at vb and it was going to be a lot of work. I did give it a go, but didn't finish it.
There's a few gmail proxy apps around the do the SSL for you, that might be an easy way of adding gmail support.

AFAIK POP3 only shows a count of total messages - if you know a way to only show new ones I'll be happy to add that in.

lol I have no clue on either area really... just wondering if it was possible... I'll look around thanks

/EDIT: Figured out a way to do the Gmail New Email Count. See my sig. Gives new email count as LABEL and a new email INDICATOR.

Hmmm, I could possibly help out here.
I'm rubbish with hacking my car up but i'm a commercial VB6 & C# dev.

I did a bit of work a while back that left me with licenses for a couple of SSL COM components for embeding in your code to easily add SSL abilities.

Im just getting up to speed with Road Runner and how it all gels together, my last install was about 5 years ago and used a Full ATX size power supply with a 8 - 24V input and my own code for winamp etc. Things have gotten an awful lots smaller, cheaper and better since then and RR is right up my street

Anyway, I've gotten a lot out of this forum the last few weeks and would like to give a little back.

    Thanks W3bMa5t3r,
In fact I believe I owe you credit for this: http://www.farbetter.com/poweron2.jpg

I've got a working setup on a bench and VB6 re-installed so I will run up the example plugin and try one of my own this week.
